Ovens & King Football Netball League 2026 Grand Final mark at Wang Rovers.

White lines courtesy of Smart R Lines. Colour and mowing courtesy of the Wang Council turfies. Colour is what is left over from last week and will be touched up tomorrow and look splendid.

It's that time of year again.

Week 1 of the Hume League finals series and a blank canvas at Walbundrie for Robot to do his thing. The Walbundrie Grounds Committee get to enjoy a frothie or two whilst they colour in the 50m numbers.

Despite all the rain it looks like our lines held up OK at Lavington Sports Ground for yesterday's finals matches.

As Winter sport progresses towards the finals and end of season, Summer sport is stirring from it's Winter hibernation.

Robot and I received a request to mark a 300m circular aths track, 100m sprint track and some field events for an upcoming school athletics carnival. Sounds straight forward but Robot knows straight forward is rarely the case.

Throw in some footy goal posts, a significant drop off along one side and this mark needed some tweaking. Fix one problem with the drop off and create another problem with goal posts. End result, a 4 lane circular track with 80cm wide lanes. Not your regulation layout but it works.

Plans are that later this will become a 200m circular track with full width lane lines and a sprint track alongside the circular track for the Yarrawonga Mulwala Little Athletics Centre 2026/2027 season.

How cool do our Auskick fields look for the Auskick Gala Day!

It has been a busy few weeks for the Sports Ground. Regular AFL, Rugby Union fields on all 3 grounds and now the Auskick Gala Day.

Something a little different for Robot today. Wangaratta Council received a request on short notice to mark a ground in pink paint for a Breast Cancer Awareness day. Luckily council was able to procure some pink'ish paint to give it a go. It wasn't the 'hot pink' look we were secretly hoping for but it was horrible at the same time.
