Albury Aikido Shudokan Newsletter
It’s been fantastic to see the continued growth at Albury Aikido Shudokan over the past months. We’ve welcomed a number of new members onto the mat. That steady influx of beginners alongside our experienced practitioners has created a really positive dynamic—one where learning, mentoring, and improvement are happening naturally at every level. It’s a strong sign of a healthy club, and it’s great to see everyone contributing to such a supportive training environment.
The shift to a 6:00pm start time has proven to be a real success for the club. Having all of our student train at the same time has made a big difference in class focus and individual improvement. Beyond that, it’s helped strengthen the social side of the dojo as well—people are arriving with more energy, staying a little longer after class, and building stronger connections off the mat. That sense of camaraderie is a core part of what makes training here enjoyable and sustainable.
If you’ve ever been curious about Aikido, now is a great time to give it a try. Aikido is a non-competitive martial art focused on blending with movement, improving balance, and developing both physical coordination and mental clarity. It’s suitable for all ages and fitness levels, with an emphasis on personal progress rather than competition. Whether you’re looking to build confidence, improve fitness, or learn something new, we’d love to welcome you onto the mat at Albury Aikido Shudokan—come along and experience it for yourself.
