With the beginning of Shōgun Jiu Jitsu I want to share my linage from across my eight black belts.

My teachers teacher (part one), Mochizuki Minoru Sensei was a direct senior student (8th Dan) and assistant to the founder of Kodokan Judo, Kanō Jigorō Shihan. He was also a live-in student (Uchi Deshi) to Mifune Kyuzo Sensei 10th Dan who is widely considered the greatest of all Judo masters. I received my black belt and Shihan Dai instructor licence from Mochizuki Sensei’s direct student and now head of the old Hombu dojo, Washizu Terumi Sensei. 🥋🇯🇵 Much more information to come.

It’s official, Prof Dan Higgins, Shihan Darren Jordan and I have have joined forces to form our own team called Sh**un Jiu Jitsu. We are bringing together both Japanese and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with a neo classical approach to achieve a modern practice with traditional values. For each grade our members achieve they will also receive an authentic Japanese grade. Insta and FB pages have just gone live. More information to come including about our new training centre in Brisbane, Queensland, Osu! 🙏🏻🇯🇵🇧🇷👊🏻
