What a awesome weekend of racing.
We started racing Friday with 5 day time stages and then 5 night stages, which we completed all 10 stages with some decent times.
Saturday we had another 10 stages which we were having a good run on until after our 8th stage we noticed that we had damaged the auto trans pan (big oil leak onto a hot exhaust š„) for safety reasons we decided to skip the last 2 stages so we could head back to the pits for repairs.
Sunday we had another 10 stages but we noticed right before the first stage that our auto was leaking again, so we headed back to the pits, unfortunately it took many attempts to rectify the issue but we finally prevailed, we got out to our first stage at 2:30pm (very late startš¤£) as we started the stage we managed to choose a bad line and put the car on its side, we self recovered but when we went to start the vehicle it took some time and when it finally started it was knocking and then it just decided to stop on its own accord (put a hole in the block). That was our weekend over.
We were a little disappointed but thatās racing.
We still had an amazing time and canāt wait to do it again.
A massive thanks to Jimbo and Narelle at Wild Dog Winch Challenge for a truly awesome event and to all the marshals and helpers for making this event one of the biggest and best events.
