Calamvale Warriors vs Royal challengers Brisbane

Calamvale Warriors won the toss and decided to bat first. Once again in this tournament our top order failed to give us a solid start. However our middle order batsmen Gurlal Hammad Deewan and Terry kept the scorecard going. The sixer king Jagpreet took the charge in the end and oppositions bowlers couldn't survive his onslaught of Humongous sixers all around the field.

Chasing 152 was always going to be tough for opposition against a quality bowling unit. Young Dou Dashan and Harnoor again diplayed fast swing bowling spells with elegance and flair. They sent back half of oppositions batsmen to pavilion before the end of powerplay overs. Jagpreet Manpreet and Gurlal continued the pressure in middle overs with disciplined bowling. Atam playing first game for calamvale Warriors after 2 years destroyed the tail with his orthodox spin bowling and we ended up folding opposition for 65 runs.

Calamvale Warriors won by 86 runs.

Calamvale Warriors vs Brisbane warriors

Brisbane Warriors won the toss and sent us to bat first on a wet outfield this morning. Calamvale top Order had one of worst possible collapse loosing 4 Wickets for 9 runs in 3 over. This brought in Jagdeep and Hammad to crease under pressure with hopes of a miraculous recovery. Jagdeep showed glimpse of his old self with elegant shot selections and smartly rotating strike whilst Hammad scored freely on other end. The Pair batted exceptionally well under pressure and turned tables on opposition by scoring 100 runs between them in 12 overs. Hammad departed after a well-deserved 53 ; which brought in Jagpreet to crease. Jagpreet’s arrival turned out to be Icing on cake; He displayed his hitting abilities with Humongous sixers all around the field and we managed to score 176/6 in 20 overs.

Brisbane Warriors had a tense start to chase as Young dou Dasham and Harnoor continue to Impress with fast Swing bowling removing openers in powerplay. Terry and Gurlal kept the pressure going in middle overs with strict line and length. Manpreet and Jagpreet Capitalised on increasing asking rate by dismantling middle over before Dasham and Harnoor returned to finish the job in 19 over.

Great Game guys especially the turnaround from disastrous start we had. Once again very good batting from Jagdeep, Hammad and Jagpreet. Bowlers did their job perfectly backed by disciplined fielding.
