South Melbourne District Sports Club (SMDSC) is the largest community sports club in Albert Park, providing opportunities to play footy, cricket and athletics for the City of Port Phillip and beyond, from Southbank to St Kilda. SMDSC have more than a thousand registered members from kinder to seniors, along with their families. Our sporting sections include senior men’s, women’s, junior and Auskic

k Australian Rules football, junior cricket (boys and girls), Cricket Blast (boys and girls), little athletics and senior athletics. Our goal is to provide opportunities for all members of our community to play sport, and pursue health, personal development, and community engagement. In doing so we hope to nurture and enhance the development of sporting skills and to promote attitudes of good sportsmanship, temperament, and cooperation with others. Our Club is based on volunteers, and we encourage family involvement across all our activities. SMDSC is committed to developing new opportunities for community members to play sport, with particular focus on female participation and on removing any hindrance caused by social or economic disadvantage. It's that time of year again, the footy season is almost over and it's time to get ready for CRICKET BLAST!

For those Master Blasters who have moved up to Rookies/Junior Cricket - we hope you have a fabulous season.

If you're playing another season of Master Blast, please register by August 31 so we can make sure the season is well planned.

We start on Saturday, October 8 and go through until December 17. There will be a holiday break and we will return in February after school goes back.

Please tell everyone about the upcoming season - your friends, neighbours, family, school mates etc. so they can register ASAP.

For Master Blasters we will be providing club shirts this season (included in your registration) and we need to know sizes to place orders to have shirts available as quickly as possible.
