Mt Clarence parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am, beginning at Middleton Beach, Albany, Western Australia. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community

, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Mt Clarence parkrun is proudly supported by Medibank and The Athlete's Foot. However we cannot do this on our own: we need volunteers, supporters and of course walkers and runners – so please spread the word to help us make Mt Clarence parkrun a huge success.

Thanks to all who attended Mt Clarence parkrun for a wonderful morning with great conditions.

Did you manage to see a Whale whilst forgetting about the undulation?
Congratulation to Ken Willis on completing 300 events. Great work.

We welcomed 6 first timers and we hope to see you next week. There were also Tourists from as far afield as Malmo in Sweden, Canberra, Adelaide and around WA.

Thanks as always to our fantastic volunteers and if you wish to put your name down for a role please see one of the team next week.

This week 137 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 18 were first timers and 15 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 9 different clubs took part.

Mt Clarence parkrun started on 23rd August 2014. Since then 9,202 participants have completed 54,610 parkruns covering a total distance of 273,050 km, including 6,692 new Personal Bests. A total of 434 individuals have volunteered 5,366 times.
