Pretty..... annoying!
These lovely yellow flowering trees are wonderful in their natural east coast environment. In WA they are a major pest!

The Sydney Golden Wattle (Acacia longifolia) is an aggressive environmental pest in Western Australia's southern regions. Introduced from the eastern states for horticulture, it grows up to 10 meters high and outcompetes indigenous WA wattle species by rapidly taking over undisturbed bushland. Land managers and conservationists actively battle its spread to protect local biodiversity.

Your groundskeeping team are doing their bit. Over 1000 of these highly invasive trees have been removed from the bushland in and around our course over the past few weeks. If you see one, then comment below with it's rough location and we will add it to our very extensive hitlist. If we get most of them before they seed, then we will be slowly winning the battle against them and giving all our WA native wattles a better chance.
