Some fantastic progress from my client Sue, a combined 25cm lost over 4 sites πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ™ŒπŸ½

No crazy restricted diets just better awareness, more movement and consistent training. Initially we started with 2/3 times a week doing full body routines but recently we increased her frequency to 4 times a week and she's been loving her new Upper/Lower split and consistently hitting her sessions, as well as PTs πŸ™ŒπŸ½

We've set our next lot of goals and looking forward to seeing more progress πŸ‘ŠπŸ½πŸ’ͺ🏽

When it comes to training I have an insatiable desire to improve, I keep things in perspective and appreciate where I'm at and how far I've come. I'm not discontent but I place high standards upon myself, otherwise I won't improve. My standards and my level of performance are for me, not for anyone else. My expectations and standards for client's is that you improve as well. My goal as a coach is to be able to pass on as much knowledge as I can and to help people train as effectively as possible... but I can't do the work for you, that part is up to you. I can't be your motivation, that part is up to you. I know if you're not improving, you're not puting in the work. I know if you're not asking questions, you're not engaged.. if you can only put in effort when you're motivated then maybe you need to force some discipline on yourself.. don't be content with being average, get inspired to be better.. if you're 100% content with where you're at, congratulations that's Zen AF πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ§˜πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ If you want more though, put in some fu***ng effort and make it happen!

Couldn't ask for better adherence from a client, committed to training and following nutrition plan to a T. πŸ“ˆ Progress πŸ“ˆ well done to my client over the last few months πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ yes she's made some great visual progress πŸ’ͺ more importantly though, she has made progress improving her life and health. She is stronger, more mobile, flexible, eating waay more food, making better food choices and learning to say no to things that have a negative impactπŸ‘πŸ™Œ Recently Miki made a tough decision which means she will be relocating up north to follow a career path that she is passionate about. We're going to keep going with online training πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺFrom me and the crew we wish you all the best in your next journey Miki!!

What does progress mean to you? Most people who train want to see visual progress, fair enough too, its nice to see reward for hard work. BUT is looking different going to make you happy or improve your life? Probably not.. perhaps inadvertently it might improve your self confidence, however most people who get hooked on training, will never be satisfied and always want more, its just in our nature. This can work in your favour as motivation or can lead to you feeling less confident than when you started. In a perfect world we love ourselves and our body, regardless of how we perceive it visually (easier said than done) social media can also make it very hard to keep your perspective, its hard not compare yourself, but understand this is madness, unless you are in direct competition with someone in a controlled situation under the same circumstances. YOUR progress should only be compared to YOU! Ask yourself are you better/stronger/faster/smarter/kinder/happier etc. than you were 3 months/6 months/1 year ago? If the answer is no, why? What are you waiting for? What can you do within your means to improve your life?

Present Mind = Effective Workout

Why is it that sport and training is so enjoyable? Is it the competive drive to be better and succeed? The rush that comes after picking up something heavy or perfoming something impressive with grace and control of your body, perfecting a movement or skill that you have practiced hundreds of times? The feeling of stimulating your circulatory and nervous systems, giving you a boost in energy?

Or is it because you are more present in what you are doing.. your mind operating instinctively and reactively and not having a chance to run off of thought and emotions.

Ever had a s**t workout or performed poorly in competition? Yep, me too! Were you stuck in your head, angry, upset or distracted? I know when I am focused and emersed in what I'm doing, I enjoy myself and perform better. If we spend more time dwelling on the past and stressing about the hypothetical future, instead of what is happening in front of us, we are destined to be miserable.

A wise person once said: "you can only do one thing at a time" and that's all you ever can do, what you are doing right now, for the rest of your life.

Three years of progress 😊

I've been training for just over three years now and Personal Training for two and a half years. I feel so lucky to be doing a job that a truly love. Its been an amazing experience so far and I'm so excited to continue to learn πŸ€“ Recently I've been working on improving my services and I'm now incorporating a workout app that client's will have access to, for logging workouts and tracking progress. Currently have a couple of spots available for 1on1 training. I'm also including a new training option to my services. Guided self training, which will include tailored programming and nutrition, workout tracking, weekly check ins, daily support and guidance and more! got guns!!πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ so stoked with Miki's progress over the last 2 months πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ 6cm up across shoulders and hips measurements and only 1cm up across waist measurement, whilst gradually increasing her calorie intake from 1700 to 2100. Up to 2200 now and will continue to build calories. Awesome work Miki!!πŸ‘ŠπŸ™ŒπŸ’ͺ
