Established in 1982 and proudly incorporated in 1992, the Proserpine/Whitsunday Rugby Union Club — locally known as THE RAIDERS — is the heart of Rugby in the Whitsundays. We provide opportunities for Men & Women to play Rugby Union across Premier Grade, Reserve Grade and Under 19s, competing in the Mackay Rugby Union (MRU) and Central Queensland (CQ) competitions. In 2006 we established Whitsunday Junior Rugby Union, offering pathways for players aged 5–17 and creating a true junior-to-senior development pathway within our club. Today, we proudly field Men’s and Women’s Senior teams along with 6–10 junior teams, with strong and growing junior numbers every season. The Raiders maintain strong partnerships with local businesses, community organisations, Rugby bodies, and local & state government, ensuring our Club continues to grow both on and off the field. Our players also have access to elite representative pathways, including:
