Established in 1982 and proudly incorporated in 1992, the Proserpine/Whitsunday Rugby Union Club — locally known as THE RAIDERS — is the heart

of Rugby in the Whitsundays. We provide opportunities for Men & Women to play Rugby Union across Premier Grade, Reserve Grade and Under 19s, competing in the Mackay Rugby Union (MRU) and Central Queensland (CQ) competitions. In 2006 we established Whitsunday Junior Rugby Union, offering pathways for players aged 5–17 and creating a true junior-to-senior development pathway within our club. Today, we proudly field Men’s and Women’s Senior teams along with 6–10 junior teams, with strong and growing junior numbers every season. The Raiders maintain strong partnerships with local businesses, community organisations, Rugby bodies, and local & state government, ensuring our Club continues to grow both on and off the field. Our players also have access to elite representative pathways, including:

The fields are marked, the beers are cold and the screens are primed...
We are locking in for an epic afternoon and evening of non-stop rugby union action this Saturday!
⚡ Men’s 7s: from 2:30pm
Warming up the crowds with fast-paced, high-flying action
🏆 The Main Event: Kick off 3:00pm
Back our Ladies as the Whitsunday Raiders A-Grade team takes the field for a massive match against the Bowen Jennies!
👑 Super Rugby Grand Final: Watch the blockbuster Hurricanes vs Chiefs title showdown live on our massive screens from 5pm!

Get down early to grab the best seats in the grandstand and later in the club, grab a drink and a feed, and support local footy.
Bring your mates, bring the noise, and let's back our green and black army!

There's no better place to be this Saturday than the Whitsunday Sportspark & Club Whitsunday

First up, our Raiders Ladies take on the Muddies in a local derby, with the women's game kicking off at 3pm. Plus our Raiders Men's 7's will also be in action.

Then, when the games are done, head into the Club and catch the Super Rugby Pacific Grand Final live on the big screens as the Hurricanes take on the Chiefs from 5:05pm.

A great afternoon of local rugby, followed by the biggest rugby match of the year. Grab your teammates, bring your family and supporters, and make a day of it.
