After a gallant win over Pinnacle Cricket Club, ABCC will face another tough challenge as we go head-to-head with Souths Cricket Club. 💪

There are a few minor changes to the squad, but one thing remains the same — the attitude, the belief and the hunger to get the job done! 🔥

🏏🏏 Airlie Beach Cricket Club training is ON tomorrow Tuesday 22nd September! 🏏🏏
We are pads on and ready from 4:00 to 5:30 pm at the Galbraith Park nets.
To our club members and anyone looking to pick up a bat or ball for the first time: new players are highly welcome to come down, meet the team captains Jayden and Fraser and join us for a hit!
With a win against Pinnacle in the first game on Sunday to start the 2026/27 season now is the perfect time to shake off the rust and get some form going.

🏏🏏Airlie Beach Cricket Club — Opening Round Match Report🏏🏏

Airlie Beach CC 211 def. Pinnacle 3rd Grade 177 by 34 runs

Airlie Beach Cricket Club has opened the new 2026 27 season in style, recording a 34-run victory over Pinnacle 3rd Grade at Harrup Park 1 in the opening round of the Bidfood 3rd Division One Day Cup.

Batting first, Airlie Beach posted a competitive 211, with contributions coming throughout the order. Aaron Regan provided the innings’ standout performance, finishing unbeaten on 51 from just 27 balls, including 7 fours and a six.

Jayden Lloyd made a composed 33 from 31 balls, while Scott Casey contributed 30 from 28. Dinusha Wijethunga added 22, with Fraser Simpson, Joshua Geisler and Will Marshall also making valuable contributions to get Airlie Beach to a strong total.

With 211 to defend, the Airlie Beach bowling attack delivered when it mattered. Will Marshall led the way with 3/33 from 7 overs, while Aaron Regan backed up his unbeaten half-century with an impressive 2/26.

Captain Jayden Lloyd also picked up 2/27, with Jake Vincent taking 2/43 and Joshua Geisler claiming 1/38.

Pinnacle were eventually bowled out for 177 in 33.2 overs, securing Airlie Beach a 34-run victory and an ideal start to the new season.

A strong all-round effort to begin the campaign, with contributions from both bat and ball setting the tone for Airlie Beach’s season ahead.

WHERE: Home/away basis playing at Cannonvale State School, Proserpine and Mackay

We are excited to celebrate our first game of the season and get the team ready for what we hope will be a great year of cricket!
