Are you a spewer like me? Every form of transport: car, bus, train, plane, boat. I can even get it grocery shopping walking down the aisles too fast with all the products flashing past my face.

Travel isn't easy for me. I didn't travel overseas after school like all my friends because I physically didn't think I could get there.

Oh and I'm also allergic to travel sicknes tablets - I become one giant itchy body of hives. But over the years I've figured out ways to avoid the pharmaceuticals that leave me feeling rubbish.

Here are some of my best tips:
1. Invest in some sea/travel bands. Great for kids and adults alike. They work on an acupressure point and I always travel with them as they work so well. The chemist sells them.

2. 128 hz tuning fork. A new addition to the travel kit. Used historically by nurses, great for lowering cortisol and anxiety around travelling. Also helps to prepare for sleep getting your body's natural vibrations in check.

3. One ear plug in one ear. A sailors trick. Helps the vestibular system. I honestly think this worked tremendously well. First time I've tried it and will be trialling it again on a windy road.

4. Ginger oil on the soles of your feet, cover with socks. Your soles absorb lots of things and ginger is an anti-nausea natural remedy. Great for when you want some sleep. You can also chew on some crystallised ginger or lollies, drink some ginger ale/beer/juice.

5. Do Not Look Down. The horizon is your friend. Look out and see the scenery in the distance. Reading, being on your phone anything with your head looking down is a sure fire way to vomit town.

6. Fresh air. Air con sucks and exacerbates the sickness. Wind down that window, suck in the fresh air. Even if it's cold, fresh air is a must.

7. Driving rather than being passenger princess also helps. But early mornings and late arvos with the shadows flashing past your face can also be a trigger.

8. A power nap. If I'm feeling sick, a quick nap will reset my brain. I'll wake up not feeling sick anymore. It's like a miracle.

With 42 years experience, I hope this info helps someone.

Did you know I teach weekly at Sculpt Agnes Water?

This week:
●Tuesday mat pilates 5pm - where you feel challenged but improve your strength and mobility every week! Doesn' matter if you're new to pilates, injured and rehabbing or a pilates pro - my classes cater for you 🫵.
●Thursday Reformer Mums class - best part is you get to bring bub. A supportive class, getting you back into moving safely all the while getting stronger. Or if you're pre-natal we keep you moving and keeping strength too. You might even make some new mum friends along the way. 🤰🤱
●Saturday 6:45am mat pilates - a bonus sesh I get to teach this week. I don't often teach mornings or weekends so if you are a morning mover and always wanted to get to one of my classes, grab your spot. ☀️
