🦑 ENROLMENTS ARE NOW OPEN! 🦑

No need to join a waitlist anymore — South Coast Squids classes are now fully open to book!

We’re now assigning teachers to classes, narrowing down our final Term 4 schedule and locking in our opening timetable.

And with nearly 300 enrolments already confirmed, some classes are filling FAST or already BOOKED OUT.

Here’s what you need to know:

AVAILABLE
If there’s a spot showing, you can book it! No waiting for us to manually place you — secure your class straight away.

“CONTACT US”
This means we haven’t quite got enough demand or teacher availability to open that class just yet. But please contact us! The more requests we receive for a particular time, the more likely we are to open it.

FULL
If it says full, it’s full! You’ll need to choose another available time OR join the waitlist and wait for a position to become available.

We haven’t even hit our major launch advertising yet… and we’re already approaching 300 confirmed enrolments. 🤯

How much value is your current swim school really offering?

At South Coast Squids, our Learn to Swim classes are 40 minutes long and capped at just FOUR swimmers or THREE for transition classes. Our baby and infant classes are capped at just SIX.

More time. Smaller classes. More opportunity for your child to actually swim, learn and build confidence.

🦑 THE WAIT IS OVER! 🦑

TERM 4 ENROLMENT REGISTRATIONS OPEN TOMORROW AT 7AM! 🎉

We are so excited to finally start matching our Squids with their classes!

Here’s what you need to do:

1️⃣ Find your level
Use the Level Finder on our website to work out the best starting point.

2️⃣ Register for an account
If you haven’t already, create your family account.

3️⃣ Add your students
Add each child you’d like to enrol — or add yourself as a student if you’re joining one of our adult programs!

4️⃣ At 7am, join the waitlist for your TOP TWO preferred classes for each student.

5️⃣ Then… wait patiently!
We have a BIG matching job ahead of us.

Over the coming week, we’ll work through registrations and contact families by phone or email with an offer for Term 4.

💳 No payment is required just yet. Payments won’t be taken until the week before classes commence.

📅 We’re aiming to dive in from Monday 12 October, the first week of Term 4. As with any build of this scale, sometimes things don’t go exactly to plan — so we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

Why are we asking everyone to waitlist instead of booking straight in?

Because we’re building our timetable around real demand and staff availability. This allows us to open the classes families actually need, place our teaching team where they’re needed most, and build a timetable that is sustainable for South Coast Squids long-term.

🐙 3 DAYS UNTIL WAITLISTS OPEN! 🌊

Okay Squids… things are about to get VERY real around here. We thought we’d share a little more from what’s going on behind the scenes…

🚢 Our pool arrives at the Adelaide docks TODAY - better late than never!
🏗️ It makes its way to its new home in Sheidow Park on Thursday
👋 Sophie finishes up full time work managing another swim school on Thursday and officially becomes a FULL-TIME SQUID - scary!
✈️ Our pool build team flies into Adelaide this weekend
🌊 And THEN… we start making some serious waves at the build site!

The next five weeks are going to be equal parts exciting, chaotic, exhausting and absolutely EPIC as South Coast Squids starts transforming from plans on paper into the swim school we’ve been dreaming about.

And we want to take you along for the ride. 💕

South Coast Squids enrolments are almost here! 🦑🌊

Our waitlist positions open at 7:00am on Friday, September 11, and with limited places available across some classes, we recommend being ready to go when they open.

The easiest way to prepare? Download our app today.

Search “South Coast Squids” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, download the app and make sure your family account is registered and ready.

Then, from 7:00am Friday, September 11, you’ll be able to select your preferred classes and join the waitlist directly through the app.

⏰ Set your alarm — 7:00am, Friday September 11!

Waitlist positions will be processed in the order they are received, so getting in early will give you the best chance of securing your preferred class.

We can’t wait to welcome our very first Squids to the pool! 🦑💦

🦑 Help us find our final few Squids!

Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy building an incredible team of instructors ready to welcome our South Coast Squids families this October.

Our team is almost complete, but we have room for just a couple more experienced Swim Instructors and Aqua Aerobics Instructors — and we’re hoping our local community might know exactly who we’re looking for!

We’re looking for great instructors who are warm, patient, enthusiastic and passionate about what they do.

In return, we’re offering above-award rates, a beautiful 32°C magnesium salt pool, excellent ongoing training, great staff benefits, inclusive programming and a genuinely positive team culture.

Our next Recruitment & Interview Day is Friday 11 September, with only a few interview spots remaining.

So… which Squid is your Squid?

From cautious first-timers finding their confidence, to fearless little fish who *think* they can swim, right through to swimmers getting ready to take on Squid Squad — there’s a place for every stage of the journey at South Coast Squids.

We also offer Scuba Starters for swimmers aged 7–10 who are at the beginning of their swimming journey, plus Teen Beginner + Intermediate classes for older swimmers ready to build their skills and confidence.

Term 4 is getting closer and interest is building quickly. If South Coast Squids is on your radar, now is the time to get registered so you’re ready when enrolments open!

🗓️ A little timetable note:
The timetable you see online is 99% final and accurate. We are, however, exploring one final addition — an early morning session each week for before-school/before-work swim lessons. As expected, final class availability will be subject to enrolment demand and instructor availability.

Next up: Waitlists will open in mid-September, followed by enrolment placement and our Founding Member opportunity for the first 100 families.

🦑 WE’RE HIRING! Our Squid Squad is growing! 💜💙

The time has officially come… we’re recruiting and finalising our South Coast Squids team! 🥳

We already have a couple of absolute gems in the mix, but we’re looking for more little squid teachers and Aqua Exercise Instructors to join us for our exciting launch in Term 4. 🌊

Are you:
🦑 A qualified or experienced swim teacher?
👶 A champion baby whisperer?
🐙 An excellent toddler tamer?
🏊‍♀️ Someone who knows their strokes inside and out?
💦 An energetic Aqua Exercise Instructor who loves getting people moving?

Starting something from scratch is exciting, but it also takes a whole community to get it off the ground.
