On Sunday 4th May students and sensei of Kobushin Dojo and Shoshinkan Dojo together did a demonstration of Ryukyu Kobudo Ryukonkai at Kodomo No Hi Japanese festival at the Unley Town Hall in Adelaide. We were warmly received and the spectators loved the performances of us going through the katas of various Okinawa weaponry. Thank you to all that attended and a special thanks to Daniel Mau sensei for organising the pamphlets.

We are happy to announce that we will be performing at Kodomo No Hi Japanese festival this Sunday 4th May. We will be displaying various weapon katas during the event, our time starts at 12:00pm.

RyuKonKai Kobudo Classes for 2025 will begin on Tuesday 21st January from 7:00pm-8:00pm.

On the Monday and Tuesday night members of the South Australian branch of Ryukonkai Ryukyu Kobudo were able to train at the Honbu dojo in Okinawa under Grandmaster Iha Kotaro. It is an experience that every student of Ryukonkai should travel to Okinawa to train at the Honbu dojo.

Congratulations to Daniel Cox for achieving 4th Kyu in Ryukonkai Kobudo.
We will start training again in the new year.
A proverb comes to mind "you may come to class to learn but you go home to train and to put in practice what you learned in classes so next time you will learn more in the next class".
