Today is a reminder to check in with the people around us and ask a simple question: “Are you OK?”
But sometimes, we don’t always feel equipped to ask the question—especially when we’re not sure we’re ready for the answer.
And that’s OK.
Sometimes, checking in can be as simple as extending an olive branch and saying:
🏓 “Want to play a game?”
For so many of us, pickleball is about much more than the game itself. It’s connection. It’s laughter. It’s getting outside, moving our bodies, sharing a few rallies and spending time with people who make us feel like we belong.
Sometimes, being invited onto the court is enough to lift someone’s spirits.
Sometimes, a game turns into a conversation.
And sometimes, simply knowing someone thought to include you can make all the difference.
So today, check in with someone. Ask the question if you can. Or, if you’re not quite ready for that, invite someone to play.
You never know what that small gesture might mean to them. 💛🏓
Because sometimes, connection starts with a paddle in your hand.
