Paddle SA is conducting an Assessors Forum on Saturday 10th October at West Lakes.

The forum has the following aims:

• To present the current version of the Paddle Australia Qualifications Scheme (PAQS)
• To present changes that are planned for the PAQS
• To discuss issues that SA assessors have with the PAQS
• To workshop the teaching of selected kayak, canoe or SUP skills; i.e get on the water and have a paddle!

Mark Thurgood the Paddle Australia Participation & Training Manager will attend this forum and give the latest information on the PAQS and national level developments.

Guide and Instructor Qualifications
Paddle SA is running a Leadership Course for guide and instructor qualifications.
The course is conducted over three days, Monday 28th to Wednesday 30th September, 2026.
Registering in the training course can be made online via the Paddle Australia website or by contacting Paddle SA.

Trevor Gallard Memorial

This Sunday 16th August is the Trevor Gallard Memorial Marathon hosted by Encounter Paddling club, and incorporating state singles titles.

Registration will be from 8.15am -8.45am with first start for championship course at 9am.
$20pp or $30 family.

Short course option for those not wanting to do the state titles distance.
