AUSTRALIA ARE THE U18 WOMEN’S WORLD
CHAMPIONS!
The Young Stingers stun hosts Spain in the U18 World Championship final to take GOLD in Tenerife!
What a result for Australia. What a generation. Their FIRST-EVER U18 world title and Australia’s first women’s junior world championship gold since 2007.
A massive moment for Australian water polo.

❤️🦈 Henley Sharks are incredibly proud! 🦈❤️
A huge congratulations to our 13 Henley Sharks who proudly represented South Australia at the 2026 13&U National Development Carnival. What an incredible achievement!
For many of our players, this was their first national tournament and their first opportunity to compete against the best young water polo athletes from across Australia. They embraced every challenge with determination, courage, and enthusiasm, taking every opportunity to learn, compete, and grow throughout the week.
Wearing the South Australian cap is something to be immensely proud of, and each of our Sharks represented both their state and our club with outstanding sportsmanship, resilience, and team spirit.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated coaches for their guidance and commitment, and to our amazing families for the endless support, encouragement, and countless hours poolside. These opportunities simply wouldn’t be possible without you.
To our 13 Sharks – congratulations on an outstanding carnival. You should all be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved. This experience is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to watch you continue to develop, chase your goals, and make your mark in the years ahead.

Huge congratulations to our SIX Henley Sharks athletes who have been selected to represent South Australia at the East Coast Challenge in Melbourne!

These 3 girls and 3 boys are currently in Melbourne to take on the best young talent from across the country in this annual tournament.
The East Coast Challenge is hosted by Water Polo Victoria as a key warm-up event ahead of the WPA 15&Under National State Championships later this year — a fantastic development opportunity against elite competition.
We are so proud of the hard work, dedication and talent these athletes have shown to earn their spot in the SA squad. Go get ‘em, Sharks!

What a week in Ballarat. Seven of our own proudly represented WPSA at Country Champs from 5–9 May.

The Men’s team finished 6th, Women 7th — fantastic effort from a squad that gave their all.
