The FAB Spring Cup Triples competition was held on 6th September with 16 teams.

At the end of the three pool games Pamela D, Jan Asp and Penny were well ahead on +25 but in the final they lost to Anders, Valmai and Ilario 13-0.

Dave W, Erica and John H were 3rd with +12.

There were 41 players for FAB doubles, with 1 triples team, at the South Terrace piste today., 30th August.

We admired the new tree that Lance and other members had planted near the edge of the piste, aptly named the FAB tree.

3 players won all 3 games.
Charlie and Dave W defeated Valmai and Ilario 12-11 in an exciting, closely fought, timed out final.
Ashley and John N were 3rd with +9.

Reminder that the Spring Cup with triples teams will be held next week on 6th September.

There were 38 players for the FAB doubles competition at the South Terrace piste today, 23rd August. 3 teams won all 3 games.

Terry and Bish came from behind in a very close final, beating John N and Ashley 13-12.
Maggie and Vilnis were 3rd with +13.

After last weeks competition was cancelled because of extreme weather, 40 players enjoyed FAB doubles in the sunshine at South Terrace on 16th August.

John N and Ashley defeated Jan Ali and Bob in the final 13-5.
Charlie and Dave W were 3rd with + 15.

CANCELLATION OF FAB COMPETITION GAMES - SUNDAY, 9 AUGUST 2026

A message from President Anders:

In light of the weather forecast for tomorrow, with 10-30mm of rain and thunderstorms, it has been decided to cancel the FAB competition games at the South Terrace Piste tomorrow, Sunday 9th August 2026.

The FAB Petanque Club held its 2026 AGM on Sunday 2nd August 2026 at The Kent Town Hotel.

51 members and 4 guests attended the AGM and enjoyed a great lunch afterwards.

The following committee was elected with the Secretary to be appointed at a later date:

The South Australian Petanque League is part of the People's First Bank Lottery and they have an early bird ticket purchase, part proceeds of this Lottery will go to SAPL if you type in their name in the ticket purchase area. All funds will assist with sending State representatives to intersate competitions or help with purchasing State Team Shirts.

There were 28 players for the FAB Doubles competition at The South Terrace piste on 26th July. The piste had been resurfaced during the week.
Anders and Anne Ham defeated Pamela D and Jan Asp in the final 13-12.
Terry and Ilario were 3rd: 3 wins +11

Reminder that the AGM will be held next Sunday August 2nd and there will be no competition at the piste.

Because of extensive works around our Rundle Park piste, FAB Petanque has moved to the South Terrace piste until October.
On 19th July 46 players enjoyed regular doubles in the winter sunshine.
3 teams won all 3 games with Valmai and Ilario defeating Bob and Jan Ali in the final 13-4.
Dinah and Michael were third.
Congratulations to the finalists.

FAB, 12th July 2026 at the Rundle Park Piste
DOUBLES (24 players)

Numbers were down today with a large cohort at the Bastille Day Cup at the Club De Petanque D'Adelaide and part of the piste was barricaded of as works commence on the creek bank and the bridge.

In the final, Rae & Terry defeated David & Liz 13-6.

3rd: Anders & Ken - 3 wins +11
