Adelaide University Soccer Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Tiarn Powell as Senior Coach of our Women’s National Premier League team for the 2027 season.

Tiarn joins Adelaide University with extensive experience across elite football, having been involved as both a player and coach with Adelaide United, as well as coaching in Football SA state programs and Adelaide City.

Her experience across elite football environments, player development and coaching makes her an exciting addition to our Senior Women’s program.

We’re delighted to welcome Tiarn to the club and look forward to seeing what she can achieve with our Women’s NPL team in 2027.

Adelaide University Soccer Club U12 YSL Black capped off a fantastic season by winning League ‘F’ in style. Winning nine games on the bounce and conceding only three goals, the team built its success on a defensive foundation that was as strong as a brick wall and incredibly tough to break through. The midfield attacked each game with confidence and energy, creating countless opportunities, while the forwards finished off some outstanding team plays. There were a couple of tough, closely fought matches against Port Adelaide and Croydon (our red league rivals), but the team showed great character to come out on top. It was a brilliant team effort by all the boys, who maintained their concentration and commitment week after week to finish deservedly at the top of the league. Congratulations to Fabian, Oliver, Ben and Kate for their outstanding season ⚫️⚪️🟣

The U12 YPL Girls squad came together exceptionally well after trials, and from the outset it was clear this group had the potential to challenge for the title. The girls showed outstanding commitment throughout the season, with strong attendance and a genuine desire to learn and improve.

We started strongly with a big win over South Adelaide, with seven different goal scorers, and maintained our unbeaten run despite facing several challenges along the way. One of the defining moments came against Jags in Round 6, when the girls came from 4-2 down to secure a remarkable 5-4 victory, demonstrating their resilience and determination.

The team reached the Cup Final after a 3-0 semi-final win over Campbelltown. In the final, we took a deserved 2-0 lead into half-time and dominated large periods of the game, but two late goals from Adelaide City forced penalties. The girls fought hard but were ultimately defeated in sudden death.

Rather than dwelling on the disappointment, the girls used the experience as motivation. They continued to develop their finishing, tactical understanding and teamwork, while consistently rising to the challenge of teams determined to end their unbeaten run.

To finish the season unbeaten and win every league game is an incredible achievement and one the girls thoroughly deserved. However, the most rewarding part of the season was watching every player grow in confidence, skill and understanding of the game. Their commitment, resilience and development made this a truly special season.

AUSC are seeking Assistant Coaches to join our coaching team across our State League 2 Men’s program for the 2027 season.

Congratulations to our U12 YPL C boys on their title

They had an unbelievable season, finishing on top with an outstanding record of 19 wins, one draw and one loss — a campaign built on quality, resilience, sportsmanship and togetherness.
The league was full of strong teams who pushed our boys all the way, but the strength and unity of the team saw them pass almost every test with flying colours. The team scored an outstanding 129 goals, of which 38 came from gun striker Cornelius.
Kudos to Cove FC who provided our toughest challenge: a 1–1 draw early in the season, a superb 5–2 win in the return fixture and a 4–1 loss late in the season saw the teams have a tied head to head, but we are sure there will be great battles in the future. The boys can be incredibly proud of the way they earned the league title and represented our club.

From freezing early-morning kick-offs to epic training sessions under the lights, this group left everything on the pitch. Every player developed individually, while the team grew closer, stronger and smarter together. They celebrated the victories, learned from the difficult moments and consistently showed outstanding sportsmanship and respect for teammates, opponents and officials.

Congratulations to Ben, Rob, Kate and all the parents for their efforts in creating a strong, positive culture for the boys to create a lifelong memory 🏆

Congratulation to our league winners from the U13 YPL A girls who secured the league after a stunning campaign. This secured back to back YPL wins, after this group secured the U12 YPL a in 2025.

Coach Andy was asked his thoughts on the season:

‘We always knew this was going to be a challenging season, with some excellent teams competing in the league. Strikers pushed us all the way, making us work for every result right through to the end.

What ultimately made the difference was our quality, consistency and never-say-die attitude. Even when games were difficult, the girls continued to find a way to deliver the results we needed.

We also welcomed a few new girls into the squad at the start of the season, and they have embedded themselves brilliantly into the team. They’ve brought their own individual skills and qualities, but more importantly, they’ve embraced what makes this group so special, our team culture.

I couldn’t be prouder of the girls and what they have achieved, back to back League Champions! 🏆’
