STEPHEN GREEN – 250 GAMES 🔴⚪️

This weekend we celebrate a massive milestone as Stephen Green aka Greeny runs out for his 250th game for the Cats! 🐾

Greeny’s impact on this football club is impossible to measure. A player who has represented the Cats across all grades, his record speaks for itself:

🏆 3 x Premiership Player (2012, 2019, 2024)
🥅 500+ Career Goals
🥅 106 Goals in 2012
🏆 2012 Association Leading Goal Kicker

A dangerous forward and fierce competitor, Greeny has been a constant presence for the Cats over many years, helping deliver.

When asked about his biggest achievements, Greeny humbly listed:
🍺 6,200 pints bought
🎉 Too many Silly Sundays to count
🥅 1,000 points kicked
🦵 6 broken knees
😊 And being an all-round nice guy
😅😅😅

Current captain and fellow forward James summed Greeny up perfectly:

“Loyal for sure. Dedicated, humble and completely Cats-first in his mentality. The kind of player you want to run out with every week and have a beer with off the field.”

250 games is an incredible achievement, but what stands out most is the loyalty, commitment, and mateship Greeny has shown throughout every one of them.

It’s one of the biggest weekends on our calendar as we not only host our first huge home round but we also host Pride Cup Round across all senior teams.

For us, Pride Round is an opportunity to stand alongside our teammates, opponents and wider community to reinforce a simple message: footy is for everyone. We are proud to celebrate inclusion, respect and belonging, and to continue building a club where everyone feels welcome to play, support and be themselves. Special thanks to Pride Cup, and Communitybankwestbeach for helping us host this weekend. ❤️

🔥 A huge weekend of football awaits!

🏉 Four senior games back-to-back across Saturday starting at 10:15am, followed by the Mighty Super Cats taking the field for a twilight special.

🏉 Then on Sunday, our junior Cats flood the oval for a full day of football as the next generation takes centre stage.

This is our first major home round of the season and we’re expecting a huge crowd!

Celebrating the 135 Year Gala for the Woodville South Football Club. 🔴⚪

PATRICK BINNION – 150 GAMES 🔴⚪️

Today we celebrate a huge milestone for our club captain, with Patrick Binnion pulling on the red and white for his 150th senior game for the Woody Cats! 🐾
(And if we counted juniors… we’d honestly lose track.)

Patty’s impact on this club speaks for itself. Across his career he’s collected an incredible list of achievements, mentioning only a few include:

🏆 MVP – 2019
🏆 Best & Fairest – 2019 & 2022
🏆 Best Team Man – 2023
🏆 Runner-Up Best & Fairest – 2025

Now in his 4th year as club captain, Patty continues to lead the way with relentless effort and consistency every time he takes his place in the backline. He leads by example on the field, and off it he’s the type of person who always shows up, backs his mates, and makes every player at the club feel welcome.

Long-time teammate and fellow leader Woody summed him up perfectly:

“He is committed to this team and the future of this footy club. He is courageous, consistent and the true meaning of a leader.”
