For membership enquiries, email the Club Captain at [email protected] The Adelaide University Boat Club was founded on August 4th, 1881, two weeks after the opening of Torrens Lake. It was the second university boat club in Australia; Melbourne’s was founded in 1860 and Sydney’s in 1885 (although Sydney University men had rowed with Sydney Rowing Club as early as 1860, which SUBC claim as their

foundation date). AUBC is committed to providing members with the resources they need to participate in rowing at all levels in a fun, enjoyable environment. We are open to all rowers aged 16+ and you do not have to be an Adelaide University student to join! Following our extensive boatshed refurbishment in 20010, the club now boast a fully operational function centre with a maximum capacity of up to 250 patrons.

Congratulations to our 4 AUBC athletes who have been selected in their respective Australian national teams.

Nic Blackman has been re-selected into the Men’s National Training Centre and is gearing up to race the Men’s Double with Oscar McGuinness in World Cup 1.

Henry Belcher has been selected into the Under 23 Men’s Sweep Squad, and will be further selected into a crew in the coming month.

Jasper Boyce and Oliver Evan’s-Wood (as an U21) have both been selected into the Under 23 Men’s Quad and will race in the Under 23 World Rowing Championships, which will take place in Germany from July 23-26. Henry Belcher will be racing here too.

Congratulations also to Jude Schirmer, Alex Williams, and Caroline McNally for their efforts across the trials last week. And well done to Gia Rinaldi who fell short at the U19 Junior Trials last week as well.
