Quick update of everything that's been going on!

Last night was Round 4 of the V8 SCOPS Premier Series, with two 27 lap races around Phillip Island GP track! This round I elected to run the Evolution Racing Team Soldier On Australia backed livery, which looked striking on track! I prequalified in 9th overall to get into the event which was a positive sign. Race 1- I qualified P14, gained a few spots off the line and then had to avoid a slow car recovering from a stall, ultimately losing all progress made. After the pit cycle and some clean racing, I finished the race in P14. Race 2- Starting out of my finishing position in Race 1, I managed to avoid the carnage this time around and have some ultra clean battling with the guys around me, and by the end I finished up in P9! Only took 3 years to finally finish a race (in this case, two races!) at Phillip Island!

Last nights result brings confidence into this wednesday nights Round 2 of the Motorsport Australia Logitech G Pro Invitational Series, which is also at Phillip Island. If round 1 was anything to go by, it should be a cracker of a race!

After two rounds of the Speedcafe.com GT3 eSeries, I sit 6th overall in the points table, after a very solid P8 finish at Road America last friday night. With confidence in the BMW M4 GT3 growing, the rest of the season should be quite exciting!

2023 officially starts tonight!

Excited to be racing in the Aussie Online Gaming Toyota GR86 Cup tonight, a new addition to the iRacing service which should provide some good racing!

Ive been extremely lucky and am beyond grateful to have a major upgrade to my sim setup thanks to Evolution Racing Team and Logitech G, as I am lucky enough to be using the new Logitech G Pro Direct Drive wheelbase! So far it is extremely impressive and miles above anything I have used previously!!

I have also upgraded my computer so that I can handle live streaming on twitch, so as a result I will be doing my first proper twitch stream for the year tonight, starting at 7:30pm for the AOG 86 league! My aim is to stream all events this year, which is something I look forward to doing! https://www.twitch.tv/sebastianflock

I will also be running a memorial windscreen banner to pay tribute to racing and rally legend Ken Block who tragically passed away today. RIP legend

Occasional fun stream, usually either V8 Supercars, Porsche Cup or GT Cars.

Prequalifying is done and dusted for the V8 SCOPS Premier Series Bathurst 1000! Nearly dipping into the 2:02s, the aim is to try and make the shootout tonight!

The second round of the Virtual Racing School V8 SCOPS Premier Series endurance series was held yesterday, for 102 laps around the famous Imola circuit in Italy, for the Imola 500. Myself and Gambo were looking for a much better result after the unfortunate Round 1 race at Phillip Island- which did not last more than 25 seconds hahaha

A change in prequalifying format once again made it tricky to execute a nice lap, due to the strict track limits- but luckily enough a sub optimal lap was good enough to comfortably make the event.

A single lap shootout to set the grid for the race was something to look forward to, after missing out of doing it last year by the slightest of margins. However it all went south, with a lap time 1.2 seconds off my practice time in the same conditions, was only good enough to place myself and Scott Gamble in P28 for the race.

I jumped in the car for the start, and managed to gain 11 spots by the first pitstop, and after some ultra consistent and fast stints by both of us- we managed to stay around this position and finish in the Top 20- an awesome bounce back after round 1 and a great confidence booster coming into the Bathurst 1000!

Big thanks to Scott for an awesome drive and help with the setup to make it nice and comfortable for the race, and thanks to Brenton for spotting us throughout the race and calling the strategy :)

Onwards to the Logitech G Pro Invitational Series this Wednesday night, along with some pretty cool events coming up in the meantime, like Aussie Online Gaming's new GT3 Series, GTO Australia.

Been learning the art of Rallycross and the iRX Lite Car (as seen in the video) with a few other guys the last 2 weeks, and it has been the most enjoyable thing on iracing!

Below is a lap recorded around Daytona Long Rallycross, in the iRX VW Beetle Lite car, a laptime of 41.556- which is one of the quickest times of the week so far on a hot track!

Would highly recommend giving these a go, incredibly fun cars!

What an up and down night that was...

The first race of the night for Virtual Racing School V8 SCOPS Premier Series started off extremely well, qualifying the car in P12 for the 20 lap race. I managed to avoid a lot of incidents early on and take care of tyres, and come home in P8- another PB result and first top 10 in SCOPS! This gave me a load of confidence for the 30 lap Race 2 that was coming up after Race 1.

If only I was told beforehand that the race would be over 50 metres after my grid box 🤣 An optimistic overtake on the grass in front of me, where that car unfortunately made contact with Hobbo and speared him into myself (with no where to go), the rest of the scenario can be imagined quite easily..

It was a really positive race weekend as a whole, prequalifying Top 15, qualifying in the top 12 and achieving my first Top 10 race result. Feeling good coming into the Endurance Season, starting with the Phillip Island 500 in 2 weeks time, hopefully this good chain of results can continue!

The final round before enduro season for the Virtual Racing School V8 SCOPS Premier Series is on tonight at Donnington Raceway. I managed to pre qualify in P14 for the event with definitely more on the table, very excited for the 2 races tonight and hopefully maintain my spot in the top 15 in championship!

Absolutely stoked to have qualified for the first official Motorsport Australia eSports event; the 2022 iRacing Asia Pacific Single Seater eSports Series!

Coming into the qualification stage, I had no idea what to expect as I rarely drive the Dallara F3 car, however after the four nights of qualifying, I managed to do a 1:03.557 around Sandown International Motor Raceway on my one crucial flying lap, which was good enough for P9 overall, and just under 3 tenths shy of P1.

Top 20 from qualifying advanced through to the final stage which are 3 races- with the first one starting on August 1- which will be at Phillip Island! The next two are Bathurst on August 8, and then Suzuka on August 15.

These races will be broadcasted on Motorsport Australia socials, as well as Sim Speed Esports Network, so keep an eye out for the #84 Evolution Racing Team F3 :)

Last night was Round 7 of the Virtual Racing School V8 SCOPS Premier Series Championship, at Twin Ring Motegi. With extremely limited laps coming into the event due to the Supercars eSeries Draft being earlier in the week, I knew this was going to be an extremely difficult round to achieve a good result in.

I managed to pre qualify in top split once again which was a promising start to the weekend. Qualifying in the race server was not ideal, putting in a lap good enough for a lowly 29th place. After a really good strategy call by Brenton to stay out as long as possible in the first stint, I managed to find myself in p19 after the safety car with both my pitstops completed. After a few cars had incidents and a few overtakes here and there, I crossed the line to finish in P15- my first SCOPS Top 15 result!

Im extremely happy with this result, as it showed our race pace as a team was very strong and could sustain a high level throughout the race. Looking forward to the Pro Invitational series on Wednesday, and the Fuji 6 Hour in a Porsche GTE this Sunday!

Last night I was fortunate enough to partake in Stage 2 of the 2022 Pizza Hut Supercars Pro ESeries Driver Search, where ultimately the driver with most points scored across 3 races would receive a seat in the 2022 Cash Converters Supercars ESeries!

Stage 1 involved a Time Trial around Winton, where I managed to finish P8- exceeding my expectations coming into this event!

Stage 2 was three 20 minute races around Phillip Island, Winton and then Oran Park- with grids set from qualifying and cumulative race results. Adaptiveness to different tracks were key, as we did not find out the track choice for the night, until 25 minutes before qualifying. Race 1 was decent, however I missed my pitbox and lost a chunk of time to cars in front, ruining my chances of a top 5/6 finish. Race 2 was an inverted grid at Winton, and after keeping clean for the most part (aside from a small spin), I finished in p5 for that race. The final race was held at Oran Park, and after struggling trying to find that little bit of extra pace, I finished a spot up from where I started.

Although the results weren't insane, I am still extremely grateful for the opportunity to get to this stage, and looking forward to giving it another crack in 2023!
