🥁 A different kind of rhythm for our Dragon Boat crew this afternoon!

We swapped paddles for djembes and spent the afternoon immersed in the rhythms of Ghana, learning traditional West African drumming.

It was a great reminder of how much dragon boating is about timing. In a boat, everyone needs to find the same beat. Drumming is no different — listen, stay in rhythm, and work together to create something that wouldn’t happen on your own.

A few missed beats, lots of laughs, and a really fun way to build teamwork away from the water.

Thanks to everyone who joined in and embraced something completely different. 🐉🥁

A huge thank you to Jean Marc and Adama from Sun of Africa Drum & Dance Ensemble for such a fabulous afternoon — for sharing your music, your rhythms and a little of your Ghanaian culture with us, and allowing us to be part of it for a moment in time. 🥁❤️
