KUNDALINI YOGA - What is the point? Especially with so much Yoga around.
:
What is the point of doing Kundalini Yoga? Is Kundalini Yoga about s*x? Is it about having a Kundalini Awakening?
Is Kundalini yoga woo woo and its just going to be sitting around chanting.
:
Kundalini Yoga is the feminine, creative, evolutionary force of infinite wisdom that lives inside every single one of us. Usually represented as a snake coiled at the base of the spine. Often called the ‘sleeping Goddess’ or ‘serpent power’
Yoga is one of the primary ways that Kundalini can awaken, and the point of ANY yoga practice is to awaken Kundalini. The point of Yoga is surrender of the ego-self to the Divine.
So if you practice Ashtanga, Yin, Iyengar or any other forms of yoga we are all doing the same thing for the same reason - self-realisation.
In Kundalini Yoga we just focus on the Kundalini energy in our spine more. The intertwining of Kundalini and Yoga = KUNDALINI YOGA.
:
I often see other yoga teachers and yoga students roll their eyes when I say I teach Kundalini Yoga. I hate to say it but its true! I have trained in Japanese Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Yin Yoga and when I found Kundalini Yoga it took me to where I wanted to go - back home - to me. Kundalini Yoga gifted me more than any other practice had ever done, and trust me I had done a lot of searching!
:
So as much as we will be starting off slow in our Beginners and Introduction courses coming up - and if you think that Kundalini Yoga is hand bag yoga ( you know, where you can hold your hand bag, think about other things whilst your practicing) well my friends, think again.
:
Kundalini lives in the subtle body. The subtle body also contains our energetic imprints, our mind, and patterns of energy plus any other blocks. It’s where samskaras exist - the mental and emotional patterns that drive our lives.
Kundalini Yoga is an uplifting blend of spiritual and physical practices incorporating movement (asanas/kriyas) dynamic breathing techniques, meditation and the use of the Naad - Naad Yoga is based on the experience of how sound vibrations affect the body, mind, and spirit through the movement of the tongue, the mouth, and changes in the chemicals in the brain.
The point my friends - to build physical vitality and increase consciousness. Easy Peasy! See you there.
