Due to heavy rain forecast over the next few days and a need to preserve our oval for as long as possible for the season, training has changed for some groups this weekโ€ฆ..

โ–ช๏ธTuesday the 16th June
U13, U15 & U17.5 boys - NO TRAINING
Senior Men - Training as normal

๐Ÿ”ธ Wednesday the 17th June
U11, U14 & U17 girls - NO TRAINING
Senior Women - Training as normal

โ–ช๏ธThursday the 18th June
U13 & U15 boys - NO TRAINING
U17.5 boys - will be training
Senior Men - Training as normal

Until further notice, Sub-Junior Training, Auskick & Valleykick will still go ahead Friday night. Please check the main Subbies page and your team pages for updates if applicable before Friday!

There is a possibility that the Junior Boys might use inside the clubrooms for an indoor session but this will be communicated by the coaches on team pages so please check.

Senior Men and Womenโ€™s training will be limited to certain parts of the oval. Please comply with coaches directions and stay away from partitioned off areas.

We need to look after the oval to ensure it holds up over the season for as long as it can. We also want to avoid injuries and keep oval damage to a minimum.

We appreciate everyoneโ€™s cooperation on this and look forward to seeing you all on the weekend!

Three sets of brothers pulled on the A Grade guernsey today at the Valley โ€” Sam and Jack Flett, Connor and Riley Jones, and Lachlan and Liam Hamilton.

Footy clubs are built on more than wins and losses. They're built on mateship, family and the chance to share moments like these with the people closest to you.

The boys capped it off with a strong team performance, finishing off a determined Cove outfit. An eight-goal final quarter put the result beyond doubt and showcased the brand of football this group is capable of playing.

Another wonderful milestone to celebrate this weekend - join us in wishing a big congratulations to senior women's player Brooke Clark who is set to play her 50th senior game on Saturday. Joining the Vikings in 2022, Brooke immediately made her mark and was selected to play Div 1 footy in her first senior season. Go well this weekend Brooke!

HVFC would like to wish congratulations to Sarah Neimann who will reach 100 games as a Viking this weekend! Sarah is a former B Grade Captain for 5 seasons, a former B Grade Womenโ€™s and juniors coach, a Viking mum and an intrinsic part of our womenโ€™s program.

With her natural leadership and drive to win constantly on display both on field and off, โ€˜Nemoโ€™sโ€™ progression as a footballer has been phenomenal over her years as a Viking, and we couldnโ€™t be prouder to have her represent the club as a Vikings player, a Masters player, and now as part of SANFLW U18 coaching group at West Adelaide. Her dedication to the club extends into her family, with children Arthur, Oscar and Betty also playing at the Vikings - we are extremely grateful for Sarahโ€™s presence and for her passion and commitment to HVFC.

Congratulations to Rayne Rivalland who will play her 50th senior game this Saturday. Rayne became a Viking in 2022, bringing her composure, smooth skills and a wicked kick to our backlines. A young gun with lots of natural talent, Rayne has grown so much as a footballer and we look forward to seeing what she can do next!

You can catch Rayne and the womenโ€™s Vikings at St Maryโ€™s Park this weekend against Morphettville Park, B Grade starting at 1:30pm followed by A Grade at 3:15pm. Go well ladies!

At Happy Valley, we know that strength isn't just showing on the field. The Viking Shield is our new mental health initiative, designed to support the wellbeing of our players, coaches, volunteers, and our wider club community.

Just as a shield offers protection in battle, the Viking Shield aims to create a safe, supportive environment where people feel connected, valued, and empowered to reach out when they need help.

Because looking after our mental health is a team effort, and no one should have to face life's challenges alone.
