PASSING LASSO SEQUENCE🪢

The key to passing lasso and in this case, to side control with these steps below ⬇️

1. Hold on to the belt grip
2. Side step to your preferred side
3. Place knee behind the calf in squatting motion
4. Ensure control the pant grip to free spider
5. Drop shoulder (the one that is holding the belt grip) and make sure you pint down the leg that has the pant grip
6. Hit and enter the leg drag position as you close the position
7. Release pant grip to hit the collar grip (making sure connecting your knee to the elbow) while maintaining the forward pressure and pinning the bottom leg to stop knee shield
8. Backstep with the leg that was pinning the bottom leg while the other pressing near your partner’s far side hip/back to ensure control and to complete the pass to side control.

Tough day on the mat today at the Nationals. Made some crucial mistakes that will be fixed in the gym before the next one. It’s a tough journey but always worth the ups and downs.
