The XS Latin Team

We are a Cambridge based dance club specialising in Latin Formation dance. XS Latin is a Latin American formation dance team, based in Cambridge UK.

The team performs routines based around the five international competitive latin dances – cha cha, jive, paso doble, samba and rumba – whilst moving in patterns and tight synchronisation. Many of our routines also incorporate tricks, lifts and free form choreography.

Our incredible A Team are once again European Finalists!! 🪩🪩

Competing their routine HAMILTON they had a fabulous semi final going through to the final and placing 6th overall 🏆

🪩 XS Dancer Spotlight 🪩

Introducing Lina! Lina is an assistant headteacher and at XS she’s a Support Leader for the B Team. 👩‍🏫

“I adore XS as it gives me the chance to switch off from everyday life and do what I love most: dancing!“ 💃

She’s been at XS since 2019 and has danced on Rocketman, Crazy, Dreamgirls, and she’s currently part of the Cuba Team. Her favourite competition was attending the World Championships in Bremen (2019). “Watching the best teams in the world for the first time is a feeling I’ll never forget.” 🌍🌎

Her XS highlights include reading the Athlete’s Oath at the World Championships 2025 and then placing 11th. Earlier in the year, she won B Team Player of the Year, “something I’ll always be incredibly proud of.” 🏆

On comp day, you’ll usually find Lina tanning the girls while having a proper catch-up or snacking. 🍊🍿

“One moment I’ll always remember is during COVID, when we learnt a routine over Zoom. When we finally got back together, I realised I’d learnt the entire routine backwards!” 🤦‍♀️

“I’ve made lifelong friends at XS and would tell anyone thinking about joining to just go for it.” 👯‍♀️🥰
