🇹🇷 One goal. A remarkable journey. ⚽🔥

Meet Emre Aslan, Türkiye’s blind football star who discovered the sport through his brother in 2013.

Named Player of the Tournament at the 2022 European Championships, where Türkiye claimed silver, Aslan has continued to shine on the international stage, including at Paris 2024.

And this goal against Japan? A perfect reminder of the skill and precision that make blind football so special.

THE RACE IS NEVER OVER UNTIL YOU TOUCH THE WALL. 🥇🏊‍♀️

At Paris 2024, Zsófia Konkoly turned precision, patience and a powerful finish into Paralympic gold.

In the women’s 400m freestyle S9 final, Lakeisha Patterson made the stronger start. But Konkoly stayed in the race, built her momentum and delivered a stunning finish to touch the wall first in 4:39.78, just 0.36 seconds ahead of her Australian rival.

Every turn matters. Every push-off counts. And when the finish line approaches, technique meets determination.

From the wall to the podium, Zsófia Konkoly showed the world what it means to keep fighting for every fraction of a second.

From a life-changing moment to Paralympic glory. 🥇🇬🇧

Benjamin Pritchard turned adversity into ambition, discovering rowing during rehabilitation after a cycling accident and setting his sights on the biggest stage in Para sport.

At Paris 2024, he delivered. In the PR1 Men’s Single Sculls, the Great Britain athlete powered his way to Paralympic gold, winning by an extraordinary 11 seconds.

Tokyo brought the experience. Paris brought the crown. 👑

One dream. Eight years of determination. One golden legacy.

CELEBRATING EVERY POSSIBILITY. 💚

On World Cerebral Palsy Day, we celebrate the Para athletes who continue to challenge perceptions and show what is possible through Para sport.

🇫🇷 Aurélie Aubert, Paralympic champion in Boccia, is one of those athletes. Her journey is a reminder that talent, determination and ambition know no limits.

Today, we celebrate Aurélie and the millions of people living with cerebral palsy around the world.

More than a diagnosis. More than a label. A world of possibilities. 💚

A Legacy That Keeps Moving 🫂🇮🇹

If you are curious enough, you are going to find your passion.

Five months after Alex Zanardi’s passing, his legacy continues to remind us that every day is an opportunity to discover what drives us, to overcome challenges and to keep pursuing what we love.

This European Week of Sport, the message is simple: your way.

But having the opportunity to be active matters too.

Through the European Para Youth Games Legacy Initiative, the European Paralympic Committee is working with partners across Europe to create more opportunities for people with disabilities to discover, participate in and shape sport.

Four different programmes: the Discovery Programme, Para School Workshops, Policy & Development Hubs and Para Digital Academy.

One shared ambition: a Europe where more people have the opportunity to be active, participate in sport and belong.

Description: Images from the Para School Programme and Discovery Programme flash across the screen showing the public and educators trying different Para sports such as goalball as well as Para athletes competing in sports like athletics, swimming, wheelchair basketball, table tennis and amputee football at the 2025 European Para Youth Games.
