“Inclusive Judo Kata – Kata training for individuals with special needs” - 14.11-16.11.2025
🗓 Friday – Kick-off of the Erasmus+ Project in Ljubljana
The seminar opened with theoretical inputs from Robert Kojc (Head of Kata Commission SJF), Jana Jerković (Head of Commission for Inclusive Judo SJF) and Tina Pestotnik (Executive Board SJF & Inclusive Judo Commission), focusing on inclusion in Judo Kata and shared experiences from the partner countries.
This was followed by a session on the opportunities and challenges of inclusive judo kata led by Marina Drašković, EJU Education Commissioner for Adapted Judo.
In the afternoon, Gaston Descamps, Inclusive Judo Expert, guided the practical sessions on Agura-no-kata and adapted Nage-no-kata.
🗓 Saturday – Adapted Judo Kata Festival
The practical programme continued with sessions led by Mojca Antolinc, Inclusive Judo Expert and Certified Judo Coach, introducing the types and specifics of disabilities.
Participants then joined an open practical training with inclusive judo clubs, followed by a joint presentation of the techniques learned throughout the day.
The evening ended with an intercultural visit through beautiful Ljubljana. 🌍✨
🗓 Sunday – Exchange & Evaluation
The final day focused on exchanging experiences on implementing adapted Judo Kata in each partner country.
Participants reviewed the seminar, evaluated key learnings and prepared the next steps within the Erasmus+ project to continue developing inclusive Judo Kata across Europe.
