“Time is precious, train smart.
When your trainer asks you to do 300 jump knees on the heavy bag, don’t do it just to make up the number. That is not the point. The number is just arbitrary. It is how much of yourself that you put into each and every one of the repetitions that matter.
If you really want to improve quickly, you have to get uncomfortable quickly. The real growth only comes when exhaustion sets in, when you find yourself asking, “Why am I putting myself through this struggle?”, and still finish what you set out to do, because you have a duty to yourself.
Anything that is irritating you, anything that is troubling you, THAT is your teacher.
Don’t count how many hours you have trained.
Count the number of times you have stretched yourself to breaking point.
The number of times you have been pushed to the verge of tears.
The number of times you’ve got your ass kicked by your teammates and trainers, and still choosing to stay in the grind.
If you can beat yourself, you can beat anyone else in the ring.”
