During a recent practice session for the Alpaca disc golf tournaments, Raphaela Narath hit an incredible shot on hole 11 of the Gold layout. The hole is a challenging 73m downhill throw with a very specific tight line through the woods. She managed to send the disc flying through the trees and landing perfectly in the basket.

The Alpaca Open 2023 powered by Prodigy Disc Europe is just around the corner, and two-thirds of the players have registered for the ace pot side event. Combined with the remaining ace pot from last year, the total prize money is currently 270€.

The Alpaca Warmup 2023 powered by Discgolf4you.com disc golf tournament took place yesterday (Sunday), serving as the prelude to the upcoming Alpaca Open 2023 weekend. The tournament had 70 participants, all playing in the MPO division.

The weather started out frosty in the morning, but it soon turned friendly throughout the day. In contrast to the windy practice day on Saturday, the conditions were very calm, providing an ideal setting for the competition.

The winner of the tournament is Leon Sonnleitner, who finished with an impressive score of -5. He secured his victory with an outstanding course record in the second round, scoring -6, which has a preliminary PDGA rating of 1032! Sonnleitner, who is sponsored by Latitude 64 and is an ambassador of DiscGolf4You, put on an outstanding performance to claim his victory.

The runner-up is Niklas Schaffer, who finished with a total score of -1. Schaffer, who is sponsored by Discgolf4you.com, was able to hold his second place from the first round, but he was unable to catch up with Sonnleitner's impressive performance in the second round.

Third place went to Vincent Coyle, who finished with a score of +2. Coyle had the second-best round of the day in the first round, scoring -3, which has a preliminary PDGA rating of 1010.

Rudi Sternjak received a humorous lifetime achievement award for his performance improvement on the famous hole 15 (PAR 5). In 2021, he scored 12 on the hole, but in the following year, he managed to improve his score to 4. He can now frame the teesign of 2022 of this hole on his wall and forever remember his victory.

Further prizes were given to Erki Kure, the rookie of the tournament, who finished with a score of +26 on his first PDGA tournament, and Sophie Bretschko, the best female player, who finished with a score of +23.

The tournament was made possible with the help of sponsors KAWEA and Discgolf4you.com, and the Alpakahof Pentscher for hosting the event on their property. The organizers also expressed their gratitude to all the helping hands that made the tournament possible.

Overall, the Alpaca Warmup 2023 powered by Discgolf4you was a successful and exciting event, providing a preview of what is to come at the Alpaca Open 2023 weekend. Congratulations to all the winners and participants for their excellent performance!
