The blue catamaran is fast again 🚀💪

We have to keep up with our athletes!
Last weekend the RV Wiking Linz team did some maintenance work on the blue catamaran. Yesterday, thanks to OÖRV, we received a new 25 HP Yamaha engine 😎

At the 171st edition of the prestigious Boat Race, Cambridge lived up to its role as favorite and secured an impressive victory over Oxford.

A special shoutout to Julian Schöberl from WSV Ottensheim, who represented Oxford in the race. He earned his seat in the boat against nearly 700 candidates through countless trials and regattas — an incredible achievement in itself.

“This alone is a dream come true for me,” he said.

INDOOR 2026: GOLD FOR HAIDER AND GILLHOFER IN THE SENIOR CATEGORY 🔥

The Austrian National Indoor Championship 🇦🇹 which was excellently organized this year by the RV Seewalchen rowing club, have been successfully concluded. Some excellent results were achieved by the athletes from Upper Austria. Among the seniors, we won the championship title in both the women's (Greta Haider) and men's (Fabian Gillhofer) competitions, and it is also worth mentioning the excellent result in the U19 Women category (Ella Valentina Nader).

GISLAUF 2025: VITUS HAIDER FASTEST AT THE TOP 🏃

Traditionally, the 2025 season in Upper Austria ended on Saturday (22.11.2025) with the Gislauf, which this year attracted almost 70 rowers of all age categories from Upper Austria.

The fastest uphill run was completed by a member of RV Wiking Linz, Vitus Haider.
