One week… one week already has passed since our athletes have crossed the finish line of the .
It’s been a week full of memories : .moschetti tying up .peretti98 ‘s hairs every single morning, finally achieving to conquer the Tour de France of Mountain Biking, being the nicest human being, chatting with her former rival, Margot, once the stage 1 finished, .peretti98 requesting her rabbit to our physio .engelbrecht at the finish line, being the best friend of the security people of the Epic, with and finishing in style on the Grand Finale, and Candice & Alessandra being genuinely happy to share a podium with Margot many years after the XCO time.roudil_cortinat and were also having an amazing Epic, making their way to the top 10, until illness stopped them.
We are just missing here our photograph , our videographer Côme, and our Chef Lindie Venter (and our Chef in Spirit ) in these few pictures!
Next year, we will be back!… but we aim to see South Africa again at the !

Final day of the .
Finally, has done it! With , she has conquered the orange jersey! They did it in style as they added another stage win to their total.moschetti and .peretti98 were on a mission to try to climb on the last spot of the podium. They accomplished a part of the conditions by finishing 4th on the day, in front of the Torpido ladies. However, it was missing a couple of minutes to complete their mission. They’ll take home a great 4th place on GC and a podium.
and , the ladies of supported by SYMBTECH.net, finished strong by crossing the line in second! Overall, it is also a 5th place in the bag.
Now, it will be time for everyone to get some rests!

What a day!
In the playground of Stellenbosch, expectations were high… but the results have been even higher!
and have again put under their control the stage: they have reached the finish line as winners for the 6th time!
However they had new runners up for this day… and it has been no one else than .moschetti and .peretti98 ! They were on a mission with 14 minutes to close on GC!… They are now half way through!
Tomorrow will be about the same day as day in term of terrain… and there is a job to finish for our three ladies!

The Queen stage of the has been historical, but yet brutal.
For the first time, the women have been received on the finish line before the men.
But they had to suffer some very difficult weather conditions, making every single effort count twice!
and didn’t wonder to much: they saw an opportunity in the very first kilometers of the stage and they went for it! At the end, they have added almost 10 minutes on and ´s bill!
It is to be hoped it would be sufficient to keep the orange jersey until the final finish line… but we know too much that things can dramatically change in blink of an eye…
It has a difficult day for .moschetti and .peretti98 . Although they are still solidly in 5th place on GC, they had some other expectations for the day!
Tomorrow, they will start on the 61km track, with a revenge !

It could have been a transition day. It ended up in a very fast and tactical day.
Stage 3 of the was about being able to stay in the wheels in the numerous flattish sections and eventually attack.
We knew it would not be where .moschetti and .peretti98 could express the best their talent. But they succeeded in limiting the loss. They move backward to 6th on GC, at 8 minutes of the podium.
and had to be focused to give responses to the attacks… and being to place a decisive attack, themselves! Another stage victory and an orange leader’s jersey still on the shoulders!
Tomorrow, the athletes go back to the mountains for style stage!

What a day, today, at the !
The battle was on between & and & . It’s been a mind game, all day, but took home a third victory in row.
However, with a lead of 3’30 on GC, there’s no room to relax!
peretti98 suffered a crash in the very first part of the race, costing some time and energy… but a bit later, & endured an unfortunate mechanical that reshuffled the GC!
Despite the time lost, .moschetti & .peretti98 managed to climb up to 3rd place on GC… but the fight will be hard with only a two minutes gap between 3rd and 6th!

, stage 1.
A dusty day that the women had decided to race full gaz, right from the beginning !
At this game, & and .moschetti & .peretti98 seemed in their element: the leaders have motored to the stage win, while the French/Italian pair has claimed another 4th extending the gap with the 5th position on GC by 4 minutes.
Tomorrow will be a high pace stage, on which the riders should enjoy a cooler weather.

Last time got to wear the Orange Jersey, it was in 2023.
It was the first time we had to work together.
Since then, we have had the honor to support her in XCO World Cup and Olympic dreams… which we will continue to do until, at least, LA 28!
It’s been with an immense joy that we got to witness her putting on the leader’s jersey, finally, again!
Let’s see what’s the Epic has in reserve for Candice, starting from tomorrow !

What a weekend it has been for !
She was on a mission. She had a plan. It all started the week before Leogang, to secure some points to enter in the XCC of the World Cup Leogang.
A perfect ex*****on during the race allowed Isla to climb from 39th to 14th, and get a second row start in the XCO.
Freed from the pressure of succeeding to execute the plan, she entered the XCO knowing what she was capable of… and she delivered an amazing race!
After her 5th at the XCO World Championship in 2020 at Leogang, she has repaired an abnormally by entering her first World Cup top 10 at… Leogang: a huge 7th on her « favorite track on Earth »!
She worked hard both on and off the bike to get there. She also strung 8 wins since the beginning of the year to put herself in a position to accomplish her plan.
It’s at the end a very well deserved result and it’s just the beginning !
Obviously, it’s also a team effort to get there. It reduces the challenge when the rider can count on the professionalism of and .luthi . And it’s easier to thrive when the whole structure of the team is based on the understanding of the riders including the underlying things.
Next week the rocket will start again at Val di Sole! We can’t wait for it!
