Anne is thrilled to have Weißenbach 109 as her home. It's near Haus im Ennstal, Steiermark (Styria), Austria.

This page is a celebration of the fact that she and Ron made this their home in which to spend their retirement as long ago as the early 1990s. When Anne and Ron retired nearly 30 years ago they bought Weissenbach 109 and spent much of their time living here together, enjoying everything this region of Austria and the people from around here have to offer; beautiful scenery, great restaurants, fan

tastic skiing and typical alpine weather (lovely in summer too!). Many members of the family (immediate and extended) as well as friends and acquaintances have spent time relaxing here with Anne and Ron over the years. It is obviously with great sadness that, following Ron's passing on 21st November 2013, Anne will no longer be able to share this lovely home with him. Please do share photos and other aspects of any such visits via this page.

With the Ellis Alpine Care Home for the Elderly's resident and management team still on an adventure break in the UK, our local Groundsman (aka good friend and neighbour Gerhard 🤭) has been ensuring that Weissenbach 109 is still looking wonderful 👌❤

Weissenbach 109 on tour (on a narrowboat on the Grand Union again): having re-provisioned at Tesco, Leighton Buzzard, earlier today, Anne was treated to a Tesco finest meal deal this evening - Sauvignon Blanc (South Africa), Chicken Tagine with Potato Dauphinoise followed by Millionaire's Tart.... all for £12 for two! 😋

Still laughing at how Anne's clutching her wine glass - as though anyone is ever going to be able to prise a glass of wine off her at any point 😂
