Hey hey,
I'm on holiday - and that means rest. I've been exhausted, running on empty for too long. It's self-love September for me, and that means doing things which are good for me and which make me feel good. As well as lots of afternoon naps when I need them lol. Lots of nourishing, grounding food, time with Nalah outside, some yoga in whatever form be it pranayama, Kriya, hatha, bhakti; Qi-Gong, singing, chanting, playing music, dancing, reading, and sleeping, did I mention lots of sleeping?!
So here's my morning "fire tea" which really is a great start to the day.
Here's my recipe for "Fire Tea":
A few pieces of fresh ginger
A few pieces of fresh turmeric
A pinch of sea salt
Black pepper (quite a lot, as it activates the turmeric)
A pinch of cinnamon / a fresh cinnamon stick
A pinch of cayenne pepper
Lemon or lime juice with zest, if possible
Fresh water
I put all the ingredients in my saucepan and then fill it with fresh water. Let it boil for 5-10 minutes or longer. Strain and enjoy with a spoonful of fresh organic honey or agave syrup.
Today it's cooler here, with a definite switch to more damp, autumnal conditions. So this tea is a great damp buster and fire starter for our inner happiness. 🔥
Sending love,
Hannah x
