XTERRA Austria is back! After a 14 year hiatus, we are happy to announce a new XTERRA race in the dream location of Altaussee / Bad Aussee region.

The middle of Austria and almost the middle of Europe can offer crystal blue lake water, amazing bike trails and an unique point-to-point run course. Join us in July 2025!

Roll credits on XTERRA Austria.

A massive shout to the athletes, volunteers, and everybody who was out there making noise. But words cannot describe our gratitude for the crew behind the scenes. The same crew that gave us Czech, Slovakia, and Austria this season. Absolutely instrumental in shaping the XTERRA experience and the driving engine behind off-road triathlon since the early days.

Tireless, dedicated, and legendary. The Czech Mafia, we cannot thank you enough.

When XTERRA meets another world-class destination.

Adrenaline, joy, and mutual respect all rolled into one, played out in the water, on wheels, and on feet. 30 years since this sport began. Still feels just as good.

Thank you Austria for one of the best stages any off-road triathlete could ask for. We’ll be coming back for more.

KOM and QOM of XTERRA Austria. and taking the tape and title in Altaussee after 45.5K of lake waters and alpine mountain trails.

Strong performances by and to take 2nd and 3rd for the men, and and for the women. A big day out and a finish well deserved.

Day one in Austria. Opening up the legs with charity runs, kids’ races, and local sounds to put that true Salzkammergut Ausseerland stamp on it.

A big thank you to all the runners who sent love and support to the good people at Lions Club Ausseerland, and to the little legends who made this race weekend official.

Tomorrow we take on the big ones: Full Distance, Sprint Distance, and Super Sprint. Exploring this incredible destination the best way we know how.

Back in the heart of Salzkammergut Ausseerland for XTERRA Austria. Crystal-clear waters and mountain trails as far as the eye can see. The final World Champs qualifier of 2026, and a better backdrop would be hard to find.

Friday we run for a good cause, before a full day of swim, bike, and run through beautiful Altaussee on Saturday.

Chasing slots or in it for the adventure, the air is crisp, trails primed, and the weekend is just getting started.

Wir wollten für euch etwas wirklich Einzigartiges schaffen. Deshalb haben wir uns mit der Firma Hooray aus Budweis 🇨🇿 zusammengetan, um ein Design zu entwickeln, das die atemberaubende Landschaft von Altaussee perfekt einfängt. 🏔️🌲
