Yesterday another final of the Argentine Triple Crown of Polo was played, this time was the Abierto de Hurlingham, La Dolfina vs Ellerstina... again.

La Dolfina got to the final with 39 games won in a row (since Argentine Open 2012), a total record that includes 3 Triple Crowns and the way to the final of this tournament. It seamed that La Dolfina was the unbeatable team of the century but this time Ellerstina said "STOP HERE".

The game was very tight, with few goals.
Nico Pieres scored the first goal for Ellerstina while Adolfo Cambiaso scored the first for his team. The first chukka finished 1-all and no goals were scored in the second. The game remained tied until the fifth as every goal scored was answered straight away.
Ellerstina only scored once in the fifth, while La Dolfina scored twice; Pablo Mac Donough and Cambiaso made it 6-5 by the end of the sixth. This was the first time in the match that La Dolfina finished a chukka in the lead.
Thanks to Adolfo Cambiaso, La Dolfina managed to secure a two goal advantage (8-6) in the seventh. Facundo replied, but Cambiaso went on to convert a 30-year penalty. La Doflina were up by two, but there was one chukka left to play. Cambiaso scored again at the beginning of the eighth to give La Dolfina a three goal advantage, the biggest of the match (9-6). There were just minutes left in the game, and everything seemed to be over for Ellerstina.
But it wasn’t. Gonzalito scored twice to make it 8-9, and with only fifteen-seconds left on the clock, Facundo scored to tie the game and send it into extra chukka. Here Gonzalito came through again, stealing the ball and running to goal. He dodged his way through his opponents and scored an impressive neck shot to make it 10-9. His golden goal gave Ellerstina their first title in four years.

2016 Teams for the Argentine Triple Crown

The season has ended and there are lots of news. Starting on the handicap changes. Important raises: The new 10s Hilario Ulloa and Guillermo "Sapo" Caset that will join team next year for Alegría, completing the alignment are Lucas Monteverde and Fred Mannix who has decrease to 8 goals. Alegria will finally be 3rd big team. After the 2013 Argentine Open final where La Dolfina beat Mannix team, that year was the start for a growing history and next year it will be another step in the race of reaching a title in the best season of the world.

Other important raises, the youngs Ezequiel Martinez Ferrario from 7 to 8 and his team mate Alfredo Ca****la Barabucci from 8 to 9. This increases and the incredible season played have made Washington part of the big six of the world, completing a handicap of 33 with Facundo Sola and Diego Cavanagh, both with 8 goals.

The Novillo Astrada brothers are getting back to a full family team, playing for La Aguada Las Monjitas with a handicap of 35: The probable team will play as 1. Eduardo, 2. Miguel, 3. Ignacio and 4. Alejandro. Miguel said: "Javier tell us to play all together again". Miguel was decrease from 10 to 9 because of the level showed in the high handicap tournaments he played (Copa Camara de Diputados and Copa Municipalidad de Pilar).

The other family team, the Heguys, will be splet up. Nachi will play with Agustin Merlos and the Toccalino brothers, Cubi and Santiago. There is not a name yet, but with the 35 goals of handicap this team is getting instantly to the hole Triple Crown beacuse there was a blank in the six teams that will play in the Tortugas Open.

Magual has not confirmed team yet but there are some ideas to fill Santi Toccalino´s place.

There are some players that have not tell what are they going to do next season, such as Eduardo, Bautista and Pepe Heguy, Sebastian Merlos, Magoo Laprida, Guillermo Terrera. Among this players, there are some young guns that are preparing horses to play the Qualification Tournament wishing to play as Washington did in 2015.
