PRODUCTIVITY PITSTOP....What limits your productivity?

Mine is my home environment. I sit down to work and then get up to go clean something, or cook food, or redecorate.

Once my friend got a puppy so I had to stop work for the day and go and play with it😂. Anything to avoid actually working.

Once this productivity pitstop was identified, it needed to be removed. I did that by strict hour by hour scheduling with alarms set on my phone. Or, I go to a coffee shop.

Do you have any productivity pitstops? What have you done to remove them?

I had the most amazing weekend at the seaside, with my partner.

I was in my element and feeling myself, and my partner took this picture of me.

I love it. I think I look great.

And then the messages come in, from friends I haven't seen in a few years. My top two:

Hey Chubby! (from a former colleague)

And

Is your hair grey? You look like a GILF🙄

Can someone tell me why people can't see the joy in this picture and have to nitpick how I look? It's 2022.

Im lucky that I've done so much work on my mindset as an entrepreneur, that comments like this no longer bother me, but if love to know.... What are the best ways you respond to personal comments like this? Especially withing a work environment.

Good! You know what?

Sucking at something is the first step to being good at something.

Realising you suck at something means that you are TRYING SOMETHING NEW. How is that a bad thing? So many people don't even try.

With practice, and consistency you'll get better.

Do you embrace the suck or do you give up before you even try?

Ps: I really suck at not hugging puppy dogs when I'm out 😂

Ever heard that saying you are what you eat?

Well, turns out to be true in more ways than I ever realised.

You are what you consume.

Eating s**t all the time? You'll feel like s**t.

Watching s**t on TV all the time? You'll think at a lower vibration, and stay stuck in a mindset of lack

Hanging out with negative people? You'll end up just the same.

Its a harsh reality, but on your journey of growth, to become what you always wanted to be come, you'll need to say goodbye to the things that don't serve you. They may be comfortable, but it you don't like where you are, you're not doing yourself any favours by not consuming things that help you level up.

I can guarantee you can think of at least one area in your life where your consumption is out of balance and you want to change it. What's yours?

Do you have a fixed mindset or a growth mindset?

Do you have limiting beliefs or empowering beliefs?

How do you talk to yourself?

One thing I've learnt on my business journey is that mindset is 99% of the hard work. Sort that all out, and you release a lot of blocks that hold you back from achieving the success you're looking for.

One of the best ways to start working on your mindset is to watch the way you speak to yourself. Are you full of 'I can't do that' rather than 'I can learn how to do that'. Are you full of 'old dogs can't learn new tricks' or 'learning is possible at any age'?

One way of thinking will absolutely hold you in the pattern of not believing you're able to build anything different for yourself, while one opens up a realm of possibility.

What's your biggest limiting belief? Drop it down below and let's turn it into an empowering belief!

In order to get the things you want in life, you have to let go of what is holding you back.

Its so hard. On my journey I've slowly had to step away from people and habits that were not conductive to growing in the direction that I was. There was a lot of love, and still is, but I chose myself. I did not want to stay and wait for them because it wasn't doing me any favours.

This kind of growth is painful, to let go of the crutches that are comfortable, in order to find growth on the other side, but sometimes you have to work hard in order to live more easily, because living easily and avoiding the hard work, actually doesn't make life easy at all.

If you're ready to put in some hard work in order to live easily, let me know in the comments

I decided to write a bucket list a long time ago. All the things I want to achieve in my life.

It really puts things into perspective. A lot of the things on there I couldn't do whilst being in the situation I was in. How was I supposed to visit new countries each year tied down to a location dependent job? How could I fly my mother on a fancy holiday, first class, when I was living paycheck to paycheck? I couldn't. So I figured out how to get myself into a position to slowly be able to check things off that list.

Do you have a bucket list? Are you in a position to be able to achieve the things on that list?
