The August edition of the SGSC Midweek 18 Holes Special was held on Wednesday, 26 August, bringing members together for another enjoyable evening of competitive team golf.
Players entered as pairs, with SGSC randomly combining two pairs to form four-player teams. The competition was played in a 4-Man Team Texas Scramble format, with a 6:00 PM sh***un start under the SGSC floodlights.

Players entered the July edition of the SGSC Midweek 18 Holes Special as pairs, with SGSC randomly combining two pairs to create four-player teams, adding an extra element of fun and camaraderie to the competition. The event teed off with a 6:00 PM sh***un start under the floodlights at SGSC and was played in a 4-Man Team Texas Scramble format.

The team of Sami Butt, Shaheen Butt, Muhammad Mirza, and Eyyani Sarath delivered an outstanding performance, returning 56.7 points to claim the Overall Champion title.

The Front 9 prize was won by Oliver Crisostomo, Ronaldo Traspe, Rakhshan Ahmed, and Marghoob Khan, who combined well to post the best score over the opening nine holes.

Long-returning members A.E. Ravi and Aadil Khan, teaming up with Amiya Ranjan and Rakin Khan, captured the Back 9 prize after an impressive finish.

In the novelty competitions, Purna Sharma won the Nearest the Pin contest on Hole 3/12, while Ubaid Khan claimed Nearest the Pin honors on Hole 8/17.

Mukti Rai and Vincent Brank Win BMW Pairs Open Social โ€“ July Edition

Former Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club Captain Mukti Rai and playing partner Vincent Brank emerged victorious at the BMW Pairs Open Social โ€“ July Edition, held at Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club this weekend.

Despite the intense summer heat, an enthusiastic field of golfers took to the course, enjoying a competitive day of team golf in the popular pairs format. Rai and Brank produced the best score of the day, finishing with an impressive 49 Stableford points to claim the overall title.

The Front Nine honours went to Christopher Clarke and Zamir Bukhari, who combined for 23 points, while Paul McPhillimy and Vijayasekharan Narayanan claimed the Back Nine prize with 24 points.

A fantastic conclusion to the season at Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club as members gathered for the 14th Captainโ€™s Day, hosted by Club Captain Hanief Sallie.
Congratulations to Henry Ungerer, who claimed the Captainโ€™s Day title with 38 Stableford points, while Dehan Ungerer finished runner-up on countback to complete a memorable family one-two. Yu Wei D**g secured third place with 36 points.
In the Gross Division, George Liu took home the Best Gross trophy with 34 Gross Stableford points, edging Aarnav Nath on countback.
