We've been preparing this for a long time. Step by step, we solved every challenge to make X-WATERS Volga 2026 truly unforgettable. And now we're ready to announce something special.

We've moved the Night Swim directly onto the Volga.

This will be the first-ever night swim that actually takes place on the river itself. No pools. No protected waters. Just the Volga at night, dotted with lights, and you swim through it.

Picture this: the darkness. The river. Buoy lights guiding your way. The city lights ahead. History happening around you.

Did you know? Although located at high altitude, Issyk-Kul never freezes thanks to geothermal activity and its slightly saline water. Lake Issyk-Kul lies at approximately 1,600 metres (5,250 feet) above sea level. The region enjoys plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures throughout late August.

The altitude adds an extra dimension to the challenge, requiring good preparation and endurance. For many swimmers, that's exactly what makes this event so rewarding.

This is X-WATERS Baikal 2026. And you're invited to not just visit it, but to swim through its legendary waters.

🌍 The oldest (30 million years) and deepest (up to 1,642m) lake on Earth. Holds 20% of the world's unfrozen freshwater, more than all the North American Great Lakes combined. Water so pure and oxygen-rich that visibility reaches tens of meters. A place of incredible beauty: "The Sacred Sea," "The Blue Eye of Siberia," "The Diamond of the Planet"

🏊 Choose your distance for July 19, 2026, starting from the stunning Kurma Bay – one of the warmest and most picturesque spots on the lake.

👉 1 Baikal Mile (1.6km): A fantastic way to experience the lake's diverse conditions. The course loops around a giant bird-inhabited rock island, with depths changing up to 90 meters below you.

👉 500m: A great introduction to Baikal's cool, clear waters.

❄️ One Important Note: Yes, Baikal is famous for being cold. Even in the warmest part of July, the water temperature is unpredictable - it can reach 22°C (72°F), but can also drop to 12°C (54°F) or lower. Come prepared, and you'll be rewarded with an unforgettable feeling of achievement.
