That’s the reality of most trainers unfortunately. And that is the gap we are genuinely trying to fill. Multiple choice asks whether you can recognize the correct model. It cannot ask whether you noticed the client hesitate before answering the question about chest discomfort, whether you knew what to do next, or whether you could explain the referral without making them feel like something is wrong with them.⁣
⁣
Certified means you passed. Competent means you can do it with a real person in front of you, on a normal Tuesday, when the answers are not on a list.⁣
⁣
The screening decision in these slides is the current ACSM model, and CSES teaches it the way it gets used. Learners sit through our Screening and Assessment gate, then screen real clients in person, supervised, and are assessed on the conversation, not just the outcome.⁣
⁣
296 guided learning hours. 48 supervised practical hours, in person. 18 live mentorship calls. Nobody is certified by CSES until they screen, coach, and program for a real client in front of an assessor.⁣
