🎉 Season Wrap-Up – DAFL Vets & SuperVets ⚽️
Our 2024/25 campaign has officially come to an end! After a long, action-packed season full of highs, lows, and a few too many injuries, we’re proud to finish 2nd in both the Vets and SuperVets divisions 🥈🥈
Every moment on and off the pitch was unforgettable, and we’re already buzzing for what the new season will bring 💪
As tradition goes, we wrapped things up with our End-of-Season Awards, and here are the well-deserved winners:
🏆 Best New Signing – Jordan Greaves
A lethal force up front and a constant name on the scoresheet. Jordan lit up the pitch every week!
🏆 Manager’s Player of the Season – Peter White
Our rock-solid Irish defender with a wealth of experience and a sharp sense of humor that kept the squad smiling all year.
🏆 Spencer Cameron Award – Dr. Tim Jacobs
Mr. Discipline and the definition of team spirit. Whether starting or on the bench, Tim was our A+ professional every single game.
🏆 Player of the Season – Captain Jon Carey
Even with a serious knee injury and eventual surgery, Jon gave everything for the team—playing through pain and leading from the front. True captain’s effort.
🏆 P**f of the Year – Sir Tom Banger
The most prestigious (and ridiculous) award of all. After a fierce battle with past winners Dani Jones and Julian Slow, Tom finally took the crown this year. A fan favorite and legend in the squad 💫
Massive congratulations to all winners and to every single player who gave their all this season. We celebrate silver this year and aim for gold next season—with fresh faces, stronger legs, and the same unbeatable spirit 💙⚽
