BOOM. RNT UK Breakthrough Day was one for the books 🚀

50 RNTers. One room in the heart London. Energy through the roof — and a community full of fun, love and growth.

We opened with the Enter The Void Workshop: master your technique, smash personal bests, and train at an intensity you didn’t know you had in you.

Then we went deeper with the Lifestyle Design Workshop.

Most people live life by default — stuck on the treadmill, never stopping to question the decisions shaping their career, relationships and environment.

RNTers do it differently. The shares, the insights, the honesty in that room? Transformational. Still buzzing.

One of the busiest professionals we’ve ever worked with.

Most people think they’re progressively overloading…

But really, they’re just taking longer and longer breaks BETWEEN reps.

Here’s how to use intra-set pauses without “cheating” your progression:

STEP 1 - Set your rep range

Your rep range determines how many intra-set pauses you allow yourself per set.

My go-to is:
• 5–6 reps → 1 intra-set pause max
• 8–12 reps → 2 intra-set pauses max

That’s it.

STEP 2 - Keep the pauses short and consistent

An intra-set pause is a QUICK reset, not a full recovery.

Take 1-2 seconds max (1 big deep breath basically), then continue the set.

STEP 3 - Track the pauses like you track weight

If you keep adding more pauses every week (or more and more deep breaths), the set isn’t actually getting stronger.

The goal is:
• more reps with the SAME pauses
• more weight with the SAME pauses
• or fewer pauses with the SAME weight

STEP 4 - Earn the progression

Before increasing pauses, first try to:
• beat reps
• beat load
• or improve ex*****on

Use pauses as structure, not an excuse to extend every set forever.
