“My first run at training for my first ironman didn’t go great. I struggled to make the time for the workouts themselves, let alone the immense planning load that comes with training for an event so big for the first time - how often to train each discipline, what kind of training to do and for how long, etc etc. When a running injury finally led me to postpone my race to the following year, I decided it was worth doing things differently the second round by finding a trainer to help remove some of the guesswork. I feel like I learned so much more from the training process by working with Richard than I would have otherwise- he helped me create a flexible training program that fit my schedule and my needs, and was there to inspire confidence in my own abilities and answer the many questions I had along the way. For me, the value in training with tri2 came not just from successfully finishing my first ironman, but also from learning how to train in a way that works for my body, that I can carry forward to whatever challenge I choose to take on in the future.”
