HYPOPRESSIVEs or Low-Pressure Fitness is a gentle postural training system that uses myofascial stretching, and respiratory re-education for core improvement.

The term ‘HYPOpressive’ refers to a decrease or reduction in pressure. This form of exercise reduces pressure to the thoracic, abdominal and pelvic cavities, whereas traditional exercises, abdominal training, gravity, as well as the majority of our daily activities are HYPERpressive – they increase intra-abdominal pressure.

⭐️Often I hear Mum’s frustration on their look, on their weight after giving birth, their life time schedule changes with a new born, endless comparison with how the body changes and hopping to bounce back. Plus and exhausting daily routine with a deprivation of sleep.

The desperate need of feeling yourself back makes you rushing on a solution which hardly meets the needs mentally and physically of the moment as mother.

The biomechanics and functionality of the abdominal belt is vital for the support of the weight of the viscera and changes in pressure.
A system of fascia and ligaments sustain the organs of the pelvis. The repeated load on the perineal muscle, associated with frequent increases in abdominal pressure, tends to produce alterations in the composition of some muscles, such a reduction on the functional strength of the pelvic floor.
This is one of the causes of pathologies such a prolapse and urinary incontinence. Against an effort, the abdominal wall must move inwards and the pelvic floor viscera are displaced downwards and backwards in the direction of the posterior pelvic floor.
HYPOPRESSIVE technique helps to release the abdominal and pelvic cavity pressure specially in inverted poses or where the pelvis is same level or higher than the tórax allowing the gravity to play an important role during the postures and create a greater vacuum and traction of the internal organs and muscles activation.

🫱🏼↔️How to measure diastasis recti?

Different methods are employed to assess diastasis of the re**us abdominis in medical and therapeutic practice: 🖐🏼Palpation is the most common method to assess the separation of the linea alba.

To assess the function of diastasis during an active abdominal curl, with the subject at rest, the tips of the thumbs are placed, and the subject is asked to lift the head and neck.
The assessment consists of noting whether the thumbs are ejected or not.
If they are not ejected, it is assumed that the diastasis is functional and can withstand this slight increase in pressure. If they are ejected, it is not functional since they are pushed outwards even against this
a small increase in pressure.

The test is also considered positive when the distance of the alba line exceeds 2️⃣.5️⃣ cm.

🧘🏻‍♀️✨It is important to keep in mind that diastasis it’s normal, 🤰🏽but performing strengthening exercises during pregnancy, you can prepare the body for all the changes it must face, helping it to have a much faster and easier postpartum recovery.
