Your mind can understand a pattern completely. Your body is what actually has to unlearn it. Swipe through for the tools, and two simple practices you can try today.

Pulling away right when things get good. Picking a fight the moment life feels calm. Finding a flaw in something that was actually going right. If this sounds familiar it’s not because you don’t want good things. It’s because unfamiliar can feel unsafe, even when it’s good.

If calm was never the norm growing up, your nervous system may have learned to associate stability with something bad about to happen so it creates the chaos itself, just to feel back in familiar territory.

This isn’t self destruction. It’s self protection against a feeling you never got to trust.

Save this if you’ve ever wrecked something good and couldn’t explain why. You’re not broken. You’re running an old pattern and it can be unlearned. 🤍

If you’ve ever felt stuck and couldn’t explain why even to yourself this is for you. Feeling stuck isn’t always about motivation or discipline. Sometimes it’s a nervous system still bracing for something that already happened, holding you in place to protect you from a danger that isn’t there anymore.

You can’t think or willpower your way out of a body that’s still on guard. But you can help it learn, slowly, that it’s safe to move again.

Save this if you’ve been calling it laziness when it might actually be self protection. 🤍

You can understand exactly why you are the way you are... and still feel stuck.

That gap has a name: knowing ≠ integration.

Knowing sounds like: “I understand my trauma patterns, my attachment style, my wounds.”

Integration sounds like: “I can feel what happened, stay present with myself, make different choices, tolerate discomfort, and relate differently.”

One lives in your head. The other lives in your body, your reactions, your relationships in the actual moments that used to trip you up.

You can read every book, know every term, and still freeze in the exact same way when it counts. That’s not failure. That’s the gap this work closes.

Save this if you’ve ever felt like you “know too much to still be struggling with this.” 🤍

Most people think healing starts with getting to the trauma. But your nervous system doesn’t process what it doesn’t feel safe enough to face it protects instead. Fight, flight, freeze, fawn. Safety isn’t the warm up before the real work. It IS the work. Every time your body learns “I can feel this and survive it,” healing has already begun.

Save this if you’ve ever felt like you were “doing trauma work wrong” because you weren’t diving straight into the hardest parts. You weren’t wrong. You were protecting yourself exactly as you were built to. 🤍

You don’t always avoid the pain. Sometimes you avoid what you’re afraid comes after it.

“What if I fall apart?”
“What if I can’t come back from this?”
“Who will I be without the version of me that survived?”

Those questions are why avoidance sticks around — not because you’re weak, but because some part of you is still guarding a door it once needed closed.

You can know your whole story. Understand exactly what happened and why. And still have parts that won’t let you feel it. That gap isn’t a failure of insight. It’s a nervous system still doing its job.

Healing isn’t forcing that door open. It’s asking what’s still being protected behind it.

Save this for the next time you catch yourself staying busy instead of staying still. 🤍

Trauma doesn’t usually erase emotions — it compresses them. Many different experiences get filed under the same few words: angry, sad, anxious, fine. The nuance is still there. It just hasn’t had the safety to surface yet.

That’s also why a Feelings Wheel isn’t always the fix. If your nervous system has spent years scanning for urgency instead of nuance, 60 emotion words on a page can feel more overwhelming than clarifying.

Often, the body knows before the mind has language for it — a tight jaw, a heavy chest, a pull to leave the room. Those aren’t distractions from the feeling. They’re the beginning of it.

Healing isn’t about naming every emotion perfectly. It’s about rebuilding enough safety in the body that emotions get room to become specific again. 🤍

You don’t have to be falling apart for this to be for you.

Some of the most overwhelmed people look the most “fine.” High-functioning on the outside. Running on empty on the inside. No one would guess — because you’ve gotten so good at holding it together.

If even one of these hits close, save this post. You’ll want to come back to it.

Behind every practice is a person ✨

Before we explore healing, movement, and mindfulness together, I’d like to introduce myself.

I’m Darshana, and this is the foundation of my work.

If this feels like the space you’ve been looking for, send me a DM. We’ll begin from there.

Welcome. I’m glad you’re here. 🤍
