Let your body be an instrument, and not and ornament.

A lot of great looking trainers gets a bad wrap because majority of amazing looking trainers portray a bad wrap. They look physically impressive, however kindness and humility seem to decline as their physical being achieve its highest form.

Let's not forget why we are here for in the first place... to use our experience and wisdom to uplift others and evolve to a much amplified human in physical, mental, social and emotional being.

It hurts...

So what are you gonna do about it ?

This not a parenting advice. This is an observation and a comparison to how we raise our teenager. And am not saying is the best and effective approach, but I do have a testimony of how my daughter is becoming as a young adult.

And her mother and I have the confidence and peace in our heart that she has a hi sense of herself, grounded, determined, doesn't crumble at the sight of discomfort and adversity... she will persevere and push through difficulties.

And that's way beyond what luxury and money can offer her in this life.

Almost everyone in my life knows how much I brag about my daughter, coz I am beyond proud form the little girl she was into a young strong, centered and resilient woman she is becoming... Given the conflicts and adversities her mother and I encountered during her earliest childhood.

And her mother and I have so much pride to say, that despite the struggles and long distance... we have somehow managed to provide our daughter the love, the presence and discipline she needed to surpass the lack of both parents under one roof. That she is growing up with a solid foundation built from early grounding of house rules, awareness, responsibilities, consequences and rewards. That our actions and behaviors will determine what we will receive back in life or from other people.

And some parent/s would hate to admit this... when they see their teenagers in that stage that lacks structure, organization, accountability and Self awareness. Because they've not been firm with with early groundings of taking some small responsibilities or they themselves have not been a good role model when it comes to looking after their physical and mental fitness.

Most teenagers am encountering here in Dubai are spoilt, entitled and they crumble in the very sight of small conflict and they don't know how to address it.

This kids needs to learn responsibilities at home, simple as they should be cleaning their own room, tidy after themselves or wash their own dishes. Sounds so simplistic but builds character; humility.

So they don't grow up cocky, entitled pricks!

Just sayin...

Suppressed emotions, frustrations and unresolved conversations when chronically disregarded, Eventually find its way to steam out and it stinks 💩 like a motha....r! And it will not only mess your psycho-emotional well being but it will physically hurt you in the process. Unresolved and unregulated emotions can manifest as physical pain where no diagnosis nor medical exam can figure out.

Esp us men... cos we're scared to be labeled as "it's unmanly" but what's more unmanly is when we don't know how to confront our own demons and work on it, it's cowardly.

Let's be better men... starts with improving our bodies. Physical fitness is somehow a catalyst for change towards mental and emotional calibration.

Some trainers do really give a s**t, cos some of us do actually care!

Coz you didn't hire a trainer to just tell you what to do in the gym and log metrics. You didn't hire a trainer for a shortcut to your goals. If anything, hiring a trainer could actually demand more from your life... like exposing your weaknesses and habits that needs changing and lifestyle modification.

Your training does not begin and end in the gym. I goes on outside the gym door.

So don't get pissy nor irritable when we scrutinize some aspects of your lifestyle and behavior as this could not only affect your training performance but also your overall physical output and behavior in the grand scheme of things.

Attitude of gratitude...

I feel like am a much better human being when I can identify all the reasons am grateful for. It doesn't solve all my issues instantly but at least I don't turn into a total as***le to people.

Cos I realized at 48 that people that don't practice gratitude are total as***les. They're just miserable, bitter, unhappy and obnoxious!

At least think of 3 things everyday you should be grateful for... see how that changes your chemistry!

I can't wrap my head around the way some people think about intensity when their objective is to build a physique which can only be achieved thru chronic consistency of progressively hard and often grueling sessions in the weight room.

If you don't agree with those lines and come to terms that your muscle needs to be disrupted out of its homeostasis, or the entire body itself needs to undergo some degree of pain and anguish with technique... and it would be impossible to build that aesthetic that most could only wish for.

Almost 50 😰! Gonna be 49 in the next few months.

But the goal isn't just to look like 25 in my late 40s.

The goal is to show dudes on their 20s that heading to 50 is something to look forward to.

Provided you do the ground work... if you know what I mean 🤗

Injuries sucks, and it's something that most people stop training and feel sorry for themselves.

But instead of quitting, figure out and work around possible activities or exercises to keep building strength, conditioning and staying consistent with fitness.

That's how you build resilience, not waiting for the perfect conditions. But finding ways to keep moving forward.

This is a Reminder that whether injuries, a tough week, or any obstacles... that setbacks don't have to stop us, they just force us to get smarter and tougher.

Am obviously speaking for myself...

But who can relate..?

You've been playing sports and / or been training for decades and ur now about to hit 50, niggles starts to creep in and injuries are now on ur list to manage.
