3 days covering The Black Models, the science, the studies and very good conversation amongst the group was pretty priceless

In true little brother fashion and him loving to keep me on my toes we re-mapped our show timeline for the season to make the junior cut off and moved our plans up 4 weeks.
•
Work had to be done and bigger bites were taken but the boy chewed harder and made it happen.
•
First show of the season and ever has been ticked off now we move and build on this momentum…
•

POST PULL PUMP 📸

1 week down on escalation of food and seeing new signs of life in the physique and weight escalation on the scales.
•
8 weeks post show today and 27kg/60lbs up.
•
Leaving nothing on the table here, I’m taking everything on offer from this escalation and we can safely say I’m finishing my dinner in every sense 🥹😆
•
Today marks the last session for the week with the man
•
We dragged each other through today literally kicking and screaming. This week has beaten us from literally every angle but when there is work to be done… IT GETS DONE.
•
Rest up now over the weekend and prepare for the onslaught to resume Monday morning 10am 🤝🏼

How do we deal with composition shift from prep to off-SLEEson…
•
1. Focus on performance - if we know that building muscle is getting stronger in a calorie then remember we are already in a calorie surplus whilst we are trying to grow so you already have 50% of the job done! Pour your energy into what will help you mental and physically and that is your training.

2. Set ROG targets - aiming for weekly increases on the scales of 0.25-0.5% of BW per week is a good place to start. You can guarantee minimal fat gain this way and keep thing tidy whilst escalating. *Assisted athletes may vary

3. Keep turning up - it’s easier to get distracted whilst in a progression phase. You don’t have instant gratification like you do when in a deficit/prep phase and as a result can find yourself making excuses… “that doesn’t matter”. “I’ll do that later/tomorrow” much like in a deficit/prep IT ALL ADDS UP so DO NOT MISS!!!

4. “Get ugly to get pretty” - I tell myself, my guys .coaching this and ALWAYS HAVE!! These phases come and go. There will be times where your a little softer and times where your shredded but the difference between a progressed physique and not is embracing what is necessary to achieve that progress. FYI fat gain whilst pushing calories and growing is inevitable!!

EVERYONE struggles with this transition… TRUST ME!!!
•
I was the most peeled I have ever been this year and even thought was possible for me and the transition has been tough. Looking at myself in a way I have for months and seeing something different is really difficult but when we shift the mindset, remind ourselves of the new goal in place and remember the reality necessary for achieving that goal it allows for clarity and full steam ahead investment!!

1 year of SLEEvolution…

Exactly the same weight!!
•
109kg on the left was on the way down from 126kg when I had my first heart attack (not pretty) but this was where I landed and where I needed to land to regain control of my health.
•
I sacrificed and shed a lot of weight and in doing so a lot of muscle that had taken everything to build (risk included)
•
I was a shell of a man this time last year. Completely lost and broken about the thought of not being able to really be in the process of bodybuilding again or what I considered it to be for me…
•
109kg on the right is on the way back up currently 23kg up from ground zero of prep.
•
This is the first time in 18 months I have been in a calorie surplus and in a position where I can actually attempt to grow.
•
Nothing has me excited more to actually get back to doing what I love most about this life I have chosen to live… that is getting better or bigger!!
•
Everyday at the moment I wake up with the same enthusiasm I had when I first starting bodybuilding…
•
I say about 100 times a day if not to .raw definitely to “I JUST WANT TO GET MASSIVE” and I mean it…
•
The same mistakes will not be made this time round but I’d definitely say I’ve never been in a better position to do this than I am right now…
•
“Massive” I will be. I’m not thinking classic caps, to be honest I’ve fu***ng done enough of that this year I’m thinking FORWARD, I’m thinking MORE and I’m thinking LET IT FU***NG GROW!!!

After his first show we had a chat in our famous Starbucks and I promised him apart from allowing him a .coaching GXNG hoodie I would do everything in my power to make sure he could achieve what he wants in this sport providing he nailed the plan I set, worked hard and trusted me…
