One of the most useful things Human Design has given me is a way to separate knowing from explaining.
Because they’re not the same thing.
Sometimes you already know the answer is no.
But then the mind comes in.
What if they’re disappointed?
What if they think I’m being difficult?
What if I need a better reason?
So we start explaining.
Then softening.
Then justifying.
And sometimes, somewhere in all of that, the clear 'no' becomes a reluctant 'yes'.
Your Authority isn’t asking you to build a convincing argument for everybody else.
It’s there to help you recognise what feels correct for you before your mind starts trying to make that decision acceptable to everyone around you.
You can be kind in how you communicate your decision without needing somebody else to agree with it.
Sometimes clarity really is just:
“No, that doesn’t feel right for me.”
And that can be enough.
Save this for the next time you catch yourself trying to make your 'no' acceptable. 🤍
