A touring sports car, the Ferrari Portofino was meant to become a better model than the previous Ferrari California. The new aluminum landing gear with 12 light alloys was not an easy thing to integrate into the project. Every step taken toward the car's design has improved its performance.
The car's innovations include a refreshed R8, 600 horsepower acceleration, new pistons and cranksets, and an improved one-piece exhaust manifold. Speed is the second name of Ferrari Portofino; the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3,5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 320 km/h in 10.8 seconds. The V8, with a capacity of 3855 cubic centimeters, does not have any turbo lag and sharply and quickly reacts to every request from the driver.
Compared with other Ferrari cars, the Portofino has an extremely comfortable suspension with perfect settings for its magnetic dampers. The new version of its electronic differential is updated. However, when it comes to the ride, you need to practice—the car does not seem to have a stability control system. One huge advantage of the Ferrari Portofino is its Brembo braking system; owners of the car see the possibility of future improvement. The Ferrari Portofino is a nice casual car with a spacious trunk and saloon.
